[p]The original board game rules supported several 'optional rules' which could be taken to use in any combination in addition to the standard rules. In this update groundwork is laid for implementing such optional rules in this digital version as well. However, this update actually implements only one of such rules, namely the possibility for the Axis player to use airpoints for bombing Soviet railroads, reducing the Soviet rail capacity on a turn by two points for each airpoint spent to this purpose.[/p]
