20XX 0.964b Patch Notes - October 26, 2016

Hello! Today's 20XX patch reworks the long-neglected Oxjack Core Set, gussies up the Pause Screen, reworks some Skytemple enemies, tweaks some bosses, and more!

Disclaimer: 20XX is in beta. As we develop the game, we may make changes that require us to invalidate or wipe your 20XX save files, Steam Leaderboard info/achievements, and other save-y stuff like that. Be aware!

TL;DR for today's patch: Oxjack rework! Pause screen! Skytemple enemies!

For the next few patches: More enemy work! Game economy & item acquisition work!

As always, let us know if anything's busted or if we missed a change.

BIG CHANGES:
  • Totally re-done Pause menu!
  • Balance pass for Skytemple enemies! Cloudbolts, Maceknights, and Cannons now each have three distinct models, the last of which is rare-ish and only shows up lategame.
  • Oxjack Core Set rework! All four pieces have been overhauled. Find 'em all!

SMALL CHANGES:
  • New visuals for AL, our little shopbot.
  • Death Lotus tweaks:
    • DL now starts his invuln period when fully withdrawn, instead of at start.
    • Fixed up the lash hitboxes a bit.
    • DL's hitbox now extends slightly lower than before (so the bottom of his face isn't mysteriously immune).
    • Changed the Death Lotus-specific Phase Platform colors for better readability.
    • Death Lotus lategame scaling is now less severe - exposed time up slightly (+17%), and Lotus Spawn health no longer scales (fixed @ 20 instead of 20 base + more depending on level).
  • Vile Visage now attacks less furiously with his horn broken. (At higher levels, using his "weakness" on him sometimes made him more of a threat!)
  • Improved behavior when a platform pushes you to the side (or above it) as it spawns.
  • Tweaked a bunch of Agnisort pieces to remove sections where moving platforms pin you against/inside a wall.
  • Flapps are being changed a whole bunch next patch – but in the meantime, Flapp HP (for all types) has been halved. (The upshot of this is that the basic Flapp now has 5 HP, so Nina's less-than-10-base-damage weapons will one-shot it.)
  • New Token indicator! Shuffled around the positions of the nut counter, the bonus timer, and the token bar.
  • Being pushed by a spawning platform now creates a little echo of you where you were, and behaves a bit better in general.

BUG FIXES:
  • Fixed a bug causing it to look like damage can be taken while entering a Glory Zone (no damage actually happened, though).
  • Fixed a bug causing Windowed gameplay to sometimes be always-on-top, preventing stuff like effective alt-tabbing.
  • Fixed a bug causing Boss Bars to display in the wrong place if you change the game resolution during a boss fight.
  • Other fixes!
