HOPE YOU'VE HAD A GREAT CHRISTMAS, AND A HAPPY START TO THE NEW YEAR.It's time to get my head, back into the game. I've decided to review my goals to achieve full release status. It will take a lot of time and effort to implement some of these features. So I've decided to refine my release goals and if my games get enough interest after full game release. I will go back and add the game features in the future roadmap update.
So after full game release, it'll be time to put my love letters to 80's gaming on hold. To start work on a modern no limits project.
CURRENT ROADMAP TO FULL RELEASE( Approximate timeframe 6 Months )
Ah 'ate those flockin birds- Add background to game when playing.
- Sort the font on options screen.
- Sort the multiplier swap sound not playing.
- Sort the humming bird kill not destroying bullet.
Retroa Retroa Builda- Add Completely modern game movement/controls.
- Create 20 Bonus levels.
- Create 20 Secret levels.
- Create sprites as needed, from creating new levels.
- Create music, 5 tracks selectable on title screen.
- Sort the keyboard keys 7/7.5 playing reverb note.
- Add different varieties of all selectable blocks. i.e. conveyors, crumbling, background blocks.
- Make it so default levels don't get added to the list of random/continuous/User levels.
- Add sprite to show player still has an active double jump.
- Refine the collision on logs( And possibly a lot of other objects ).
Slime? Climb?- Tidy up NPC animations.
- Sort Saving of Set Levels current NPC's Male/Female and NPC level.
- Sort all the dust particles on the new blocks.
- Simplify or fully animate the cape NPC is wearing.
- Sort the hazard blocks not displaying the right block after being converted to a solid row.
- Reposition help/ouch to line up to NPC same as health bar.
- Flesh out some of the synergising of the Assist blocks.
- Sort the complete rows activating after two block drops.
- Add at least 40 challenge levels to game. 20 Simple / 20 Puzzle.
- Add extra ways of detecting exit access.
- Add extra ways of detecting when NPC's are trapped.
- Add bridge to movement collision detection.
- Reset the sprite when NPC dropping into lift.
- Include check to see if exits are hidden, then increase drop assists.
- Implement game options.
3 Hit Blunders Bundle- Fully implement rumble into games.
- Fully implement Music into games.
- Fully implement sound effects into games.
- Work on game mechanic refinements.
- Work on games stability.
- Final spit and polish.
- Full release, YEAH! ( Fingers Crossed )
POSSIBLE FUTURE ROADMAP Retroa Retroa Builda- Story/Adventure mode.
- Will allow you to create a game like the old retro Jet Set Willy, Another classic 80's game. Levels will link together to create an adventure of collecting items to allow access to other level area's.
- Implement enemy block selector icons screen.
- Will allow easier access to enemy selection.
- Add the ability to bulk move/delete/copy within the bulk move selector.
- Add internal editor that lets you, load in sets of user created levels.
- Internal sprite editor, so users can create their own enemy sprites
- Add separate layer, to allow creation of full screen backgrounds.
- Steam works integration, for users to create and upload levels.
