The library update is here! The goal of this update is to make Alchemy Story more accessible to new players… and it might also teach some new tips & tricks to experienced players!
Extended Tutorial
The introduction tutorial is now a bit longer and guides the player through the various features around the player’s home.
The Library
This new building can now be found between the player’s home and the study. The library contains multiple bookshelves, each with a unique subject. Information about the lore, the different features and areas of the game are available to read at any time. The library also now contains the transmutation circle, and the study’s basement has been removed.
Small Additions & Bug Fixes
- Increased fish spawn rate.
- Increased the time frame to catch a fish.
- Fixed a bug where some potions wouldn’t save & load correctly.
- Added dark water as a gift for Noah.
- Using the sleepy drink in the mine or forest won’t affect the user interface.
- Added the library to the map.
- Increased cherries spawn rate.
- Fixed a bug where the mine tunnel exits would disappear.
Next Update
I will now be working on a museum, which will be added in the next update! You’ll be able to dig around for collectibles, complete collections and buy rare paintings to fill the museum and increase your friendship with the townsfolk! A new villager will also move in one of the vacant house of Rosehill and help you start gathering rare items to display in the museum.
