Hello Shapers!

Since our Early Access launch is TEN DAYS AWAY, I thought I'd share another small content update with you. Here's a little featurette on one of our Overlords, an incredibly cool weapon, and a tremendously neat minion you'll need to fight off in the world of New Elysium.

Strike Mantis

Strike Mantis was bored for a very long time. Under JanOS, they were responsible for military strategy and tactics, a cushy position in a society that hasn’t known war for generations. Now, with JanOS gone, Strike believes it's their chance to flourish.⁠



Strike likes to turn everything up to 11. Nothing is worth doing if it’s not the MOST. They’re quick-witted, self-assured, and ready to fight with their overseeing Drone at a moment’s notice. ⁠



They also might be harboring a biiiit of an obsession…Let's just say they’re not used to getting attention, and now that they have a captive audience in Ada, they won’t be giving it up any time soon.⁠

The Arbiter



While The Arbiter may not fight you head-on, they are still dangerous. Aside from shooting slow-moving projectiles, they also buff all enemies with extra shield. In battle, you'll want to destroy The Arbiter first, if you know what's good for you.



In some ways, The Arbiter resembles a hand–perhaps because it gives a helping hand to it's fellow minions? Who knows!

The Crimson Repeater



Wow, is it hot in here or is it just us? Check out this steamy thermal pistol called The Crimson Repeater.



Crimson Repeater is a handgun that inflicts some powerful Pyro effects. If you wanna assure that you land on target, be sure to charge it to fire homing explosive rounds.



Lastly, let me give you a quick gameplay tip: if you're having a hard time with the game, invest your Turinium in base upgrades like HP/shield or even an inexpensive additional weapon. Buuuuut, if you're feeling yourself and want to explore different playstyles, save up for the juicy expensive weapon instead 👀

Looking at how all these things have been brought to life over the last few years is incredible. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on October 3rd.
