[p]Hello players, [/p][p]We apologize for the inconvenience while our Marketplace has been down this week. Thank you for being patient during this time and we appreciate all of you who have supported us as we investigate acts of fraud that happened during the Steam launch. We would now like to inform you of the results of the investigation and what we did to help repair the Marketplace.[/p][p][/p][p]What Happened?[/p][p]Before the Steam launch, our team put forth several protective measures to combat potential fraud. One of these measures was adding the (pending) gems in our Divine Gems Fraud Update before launch, that could limit the number of Divine Gems purchased and that were immediately useable. Unfortunately, this plan did not fully work in combatting fraud and malicious accounts were able to exploit this heavily in a short period of time. As a result, our Marketplace suffered greatly.[/p][p][/p][p]How Did We Fix This?[/p]

• [p]All accounts that committed direct fraud were immediately banned and their account items and gems were confiscated.[/p]

• [p]After this, we brought down the Marketplace for a week to investigate the damage done by the accounts who committed fraud and flooded the market with fraudulent Divine Gems.[/p]

• [p]During the investigation, we first fixed the way in which malicious accounts originally exploited the system.[/p]

• [p]Next, we discovered that several players actively engaged in RMT by purchasing the fraudulent gems from illegal third-party sites.[/p]

• [p]For accounts that actively participated in this RMT, we have sanctioned their accounts for 7-days and removed the fraudulent Divine Gems from their accounts. After we removed the Divine Gems, their accounts were restored. As a reminder, for players who obtain two offenses on their account for infractions such as RMT, they will be permanently banned in the future.[/p]
