This update to the demo version, which is the first of many to come, adds some quality of life features and a few improvements. The stars of this update are better player arms and flying teeth. In addition there are a few performance improvements and smaller fixes.
The full changelog:
- Player arms reworked to look and feel a bit better, more adjustments in the future
- Enemy teeth now fly out depending on the impact point and also inherit the force of the hit
- Added a toggleable option to slide melee weapons in hand by pressing the trigger instead of releasing the grip and holding the trigger
[Physics]
- Increased the force it takes to dislocate enemy jaws, hanging on by one side should be more frequent now and flying jaws more uncommon.
- Enemy hats no longer house forcefields, at least not as powerful ones. Melee hits against hats no longer freeze mid-air as often, hats don't protect against blunt force trauma and sharp weapons can cut hats in half.
- Accidental dismemberment when attempting to stab with the greatsword now has a smaller chance of happening
- Weapons don't get stuck behind or in your body as often anymore
- Enemies are now able to step over obstacles more reliably
- Fixed enemy eyeballs not being able to hang from sockets and only flying out
- Trash cans behave a bit better but still tend to glitch
[Performance]
- Performance stutters when enemies are killed or new enemies spawn are less noticeable and in some cases completely gone
- Performance suffering from how long the wave has gone on and how many enemies have been killed is now lessened by a lot
