v0.4.0 - Orcs vs Humans!



Fight orcs & goblins using a skull on a stick! Make friends with other adventurers and bring them along to help you with boss fights! Place spike traps on the ground, ready for one of those pesky orcs to step on!

  • Friendly characters follow you to next levels
  • Friendly characters can fight bosses with you, they're not great at dodging attacks… yet…
  • Blood shown on humans and orcs to indicate health
  • New enemies: Goblins
  • More sound effects for orcs & goblins

  • Special Orcs will always drop items
  • Orc-specific chests in orc camps, containing orc items

Tweaks
  • Orcs are less common
  • Orcs throw spears less often

  • Reverted Temple level generation
  • Magic/Blessing abilities should no longer damage friendlies
  • Items are inside large slimes less often
  • Characters drop the gold they've picked up when they die
  • Mushroom men now spawn in packs
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed demon orc blocking knocking back the wrong entity
  • Fixed ascension field going through a single block
  • Fixed dropping items causing your magic item to go off when using keyboard controls
  • Fixed being able to double-jump while stabbing downwards
  • Fixed Golden Feather giving you 2 super jumps
  • Fixed various things with stun effects

  • Fixed jumps being pre-loaded
  • Fixed Bonebreaker Gauntlet not taking knockback resistance in to account
  • Fixed Spider Boss being able to damage itself

  • Fixed 'Unknown Instance' error
  • Fixed error from using teleportation rune with a skull/eye follower
  • Limited number of humans per level
  • Humans no longer pick up gold & blessings
  • Hostile humans are a little more well behaved
  • Hostile humans can no longer become "fake friendly"

What's Next?


Next, I'm going to start working on the next area after the Fungal Grotto, as well as some secret areas…
Also, I'm going to be focusing on adding more content to existing features: more orc classes, more blessings, more items, more perks, more bosses, more enemies, etc…
