Beta 1.3 - New Boss Rooms, Tweaks & Bug Squishing

Mostly bug fixes & tweaks for this one. Thanks for the bug reports & feedback on the first beta version. It's been very helpful :)

Tweaks
  • You can no longer control your character while taking a blessing
  • 0.5 seconds of invincibility after taking a blessing
  • Projectiles from Blessing of Generosity & Flying Eyeball no longer charge your magic item
  • Springy Perk now also gives you double jump
  • Cleric's Orb now heals for 12 instead of 15
  • Blessing of Thorns deals 5 damage instead of 3
  • Tier 2 Blessing of Kings increases damage by 3 instead of 2
  • Chrono'boid has less health
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed final 3 blessings not spawning
  • Fixed Dark Feather
  • Fixed explosion resistance stat
  • Fixed Demon Rune not taking health sometimes

  • Slow effects no longer stack
  • Fire now does 16 damage by default instead of 20
  • 1 second invincibility after taking blessings instead of 0.5 seconds
  • Fixed Jumpers causing endless explosions on contact with lava
  • Fixed Emerald Bracer effect being blockable
  • Fixed Game Over screen coming up on new Magma Core level sometimes
  • Fixed animation getting stuck if shooting while taking a blessing
  • Fixed throwing items appearing at the wrong place on characters

BETA 1.3b Change List


  • Fixed Ardent Bow not giving you the magic damage that it promises

  • Hostile characters now have a red flashing outline
  • Fixed "NO KEY" causing infinite scrolling through menus
  • Fixed red outline from demonic blessing showing in the wrong location during Ankh revive animation
  • D-Pad & Left stick can now be used for movement without changing a setting
  • Fixed sword projectiles resetting bullseye bonus
  • Renamed Bull's Eye Blessing to Bullseye Blessing
  • Reaver Sword is now medium speed instead of fast

What's Next?


5 new bosses have been planned out & I'm getting ready to implement them. I also have some new rare enemies (I think there's enough common enemies now), and some secret areas on the way. I'm planning on remaking some of the old bosses, as well as adding some variations of existing bosses. Also, an improved tutorial is on the way alongside more story elements: you'll be meeting new characters and discovering new things!

A lot of this won't be added until the full release, the beta versions will primarily be tweaking, balancing and bug squishing.
