CDF Starfighter VR "Remastered" is now available in beta Opt-In !

The remastered version has now launched with big thanks to a few dedicated tester`s with some constructive feedback over on our discord server, we can finally unleash the beta opt-in of the re-remastered version of CDF Starfighter! with a quality upgrade and quashing the crucial bugs of the original!



The game now supports Oculus touch and VR controllers which now support VR controllers for menu and game. Please make sure you don`t have any control problems by deleting the old game .ini file!, follow this crucial step before starting the game or you will have control problems!


You will need to delete the input.ini and engine.ini file in your " C:\Users\%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\CDFStarfighter\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\" folder (it can be hidden on some windows configuration) after each update.
The way steam patch the game, these files are never changed and they should as most of the reported problems lies here. Each update is paired with a new version of these files but it is only created if the old ones are erased.

What is new in the Remastered version?

No extreme VR shake, the new scaled game world and mechanics as well as game maps (100+) have been re-scaled to drastically reduce the shaking effect (due to the unreal engine FPU and centre of origin.



No more crashes "Predicted" You guys can actually play though the campaign in all its glory, a lot of voice actors and some special people helped out on this immersive and extensive VR campaign.



All new design and cockpits with new UI, all the cockpits (in beta 1.51 the Light gunship is not remastered!) We have had a total revamp and improvement all round to bolster the style and atmosphere of the game. The Light Gunship is last on the list and is not yet implemented. In the first Official Beta Opt-In please refrain from using this craft in free-flight and scramble modes!
