Demo Update 5 - Difficulty, Strategy, and Gameplay Enhancements

[p]We have made many changes in this release in response to user feedback. Thank you everyone for playtesting the game so far. There are more improvements on the way, but here's what you can check out now.[/p]

Draw 2 Cards Per Turn

[p]You now draw 2 cards per turn by default. We've gone back and forth between 1 and 2 during development as the game as evolved, but 2 now feels right for pacing.[/p][p][/p]

Offside Boosts for Leaders

[p]Leaders become streaky and double their attack power when offside. So if your willing to take the risk, your leader can be your strongest weapon in enemy territory. This rewards players for being aggressive with their leaders.[/p][p][/p]

Mega Bomb Cost Increase

[p]Because they are so powerful, it now costs 40 tokens to use Mega Bombs. So if your enemy doesn't have 40 tokens, you know they can't surprise you with a Mega Bomb.[/p][p] [/p]

Better NPC Strategy Variety

[p]The NPC is now more varied in the strategies it will employ against you.[/p][p][/p]

Strategic Cruise Control

[p]If you prefer to play the game more like an auto-battler, you can build your decks and then use cruise control each turn to let the computer choose your actions. And now, each time you select cruise control, you choose the strategy (Adaptive, Aggressive, Moderate, or Defensive).[/p][p][/p]

More Scrimmage Options

[p]In scrimmage mode, You can now choose both your opponent's difficulty level and their strategy. So, if you want to practice against the Takan Guard in easy mode while they play a defensive strategy, you can now set that up in scrimmage mode. The difficulty setting informs the choices your NPC opponents make, it doesn't influence the RNG.[/p][p][/p]

Easier Practice Battles

[p]To aid in learning, all the practice battles are now set to the easiest difficulty. But they are still challenging and you can lose. After all, a tactical combat game isn't any fun it's too easy.[/p][p][/p]

Default Difficulty

[p]The default difficulty for Cendovia Uprising is the hardest level. This is the level the game is intended to be played at. As it stands now, campaigns do not allow the player to reduce the difficulty. And, of course, the difficultly level for online mode depends entirely on the skill level of your human opponents. You will get to experience both campaign mode and online in the full version when it is release on November 5th.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
