Patch Notes

v1.3.1, new city, auto-attack, runes and more!

v1.3.1

There are 4 new things this update: a new city, auto attacking, changes to buffs/effects and the addition of runes

New city (Medio)

The new city is called Medio, it was technically already in the game, although unreachable.
Medio is not done yet, so there is not much to do yet there.

Auto attacking

There is now a new basic skill called 'attack'. you can use it to start auto attacking a target. this is a huge change to how combat works, because you now won't have to spam "punch mike" anymore.
Each weapon has its own command it uses for auto attacking. 'slash' for slashing weapons, 'stab' for piercing, 'whack' for blunt and 'magic bolt' for magic weapons. Ranged weapons don't have an auto attack,
and will default to 'punch'. Stab is slightly faster and all auto attacks' speed scale with AGI
There is a new area with NPC and a quest in smalltown to learn new players how fighting works.
Hopefully this will help new players have more fun with the game and make the game more accessible for all.

Buffs/effects

This update changes how buffs and effects work in the background. Commands that gave buffs have changed in their scaling and there is new content that give buffs.
You will also be able to see which effects you and your party members currently have with little icons, if you hover over them you can also see how long they'll last.

Runes

Also new in this update are runes. It is a new mechanic for magic wielders. Runes are consumable items that amplify your magic in various ways!
They're are created with mana and you need a magic weapon to cast them. It is useful to craft them outside of battle with leftover mana, so you can use them in battle later!
A crafted rune has a certain grade, small, medium or great. With better qualities respectively. Chances of crafting better runes scale with your SKL stat.
Recipes for runes are hidden across the chatventures world. There are only 3 now, but more will follow

and more…

I fixed a lot of small stuff and did some balancing. A noticable change is how xp multipliers work for parties.
In short the xp multiplier is now always positive (base mult went up from x0.3 -> x1.0) and works only for party members that are alive and in the same area
