Version 0.75 Major Update

[p]Hi Chefs. Happy Holidays! Version 0.75 is now live! This major update contains an overhaul of the Skill tree, UI upgrades, balancing, and numerous qualities of life improvements. In case you are waiting for new quests, areas, and new restaurant challenges, we will be releasing a content-focused major update early in the new year.[/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p]The main character menu has been redesigned to be easier to read and navigate. It also features 2 new pages : Pocket Menu, and Ingredients page.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]You can now view and set your restaurant menu from anywhere. A change has been made so that dishes that are missing ingredients can also be added to your menu. The number of missing ingredients can be viewed on the Ingredients page.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]From the Ingredients page, you can view the current ingredients in your restaurant fridge, as well as missing ingredients that you still need to collect, in order to complete your menu. These new pages should make tracking ingredients and managing your menu easier.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
  • [p]You can now view your unlocked Research Skills from the skills page.[/p]
  • [p]Inventory sorting features have been added.[/p]
  • [p]You can now view your previously completed quests.[/p]
  • [p]You can now view your total unlocked recipes, out of all available recipes.[/p]
  • [p]Prestige now has a higher priority and is viewable in a separate page.[/p]
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]One of the main focuses of this new skill tree was to create more gameplay options during restaurant service. The cooking skill tree now has separate skill branches for Minigame cooking, and Autocook, each with their own unique benefits. These new skills introduce mechanics including aura effects, being able to leave an appliance while it’s cooking, and being able to cook two dishes at once![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The skill tree has been redesigned for the purpose of addressing the great feedback we have received from players over the previous months. All of the previous skills still remain, but with some minor changes.[/p]
  • [p]19 new skills have been added.[/p]
  • [p]The maximum level of abilities (Endurance, Cooking, Gathering, Social), have been raised from 15 to 20.[/p]
  • [p]Maximum player level has been raised from 50 to 70.[/p]
  • [p]Skill requirements and SP costs have been adjusted accordingly.[/p]
  • [p]No longer require Player Level 30 in order to reset skills.[/p]
  • [p]Skill reset cooldown decreased from 5 days to 4 days.[/p]
[p][/p][p][/p][p]When entering the game, your Skill Points will be automatically reset. [/p][p]Outside the restaurant, this skill tree introduces new mechanics such as salvaging equipment and digging for rare ingredients.[/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]A new bar is visible when opening a restaurant. This displays the speed at which customers will arrive at your restaurant. Higher Prestige will increase the amount of customers you receive. Lunch and Dinner hours will also increase the amount of customers, while poor weather will lower the amount of customers.[/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We have noticed confusion regarding the availability of various fish. Every fishing spot now has a fishing sign, where you can view the current available fish for that season! Each fishing spot possess different fish, and will change based on the season.[/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]You can now view active buffs on a separate menu. Previously, active buffs could not be viewed when using a controller.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]In the past, players have encountered some issues when using Cloud save or playing cross-platform. This can happen if you lose internet connection for a while and reconnect later on, resulting in a cloud conflict. We have added additional layers of protection to reduce the chance of cloud errors occurring.[/p][p]Cross-platform play with Mac is now possible.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]With the addition of these new skills, a new gameplay settings page has been added. It will allow you to toggle certain visual effects, hiding certain UI elements, and the frequency of chat bubbles.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Besides the new skills, various other aspects have been rebalanced to provide a more enjoyable experience.[/p][p][/p][p]Restaurant Balancing[/p]
  • [p]You no longer need to reach a high dish score to unlock Autocook. Autocook will be unlocked as soon as the tutorial for the cooking appliance is completed.[/p]
  • [p]The ingredient limit of Supply Chain has been increased by 5 for all ingredient rarities.[/p]
  • [p]Cooking exp increases faster in the early game.[/p]
  • [p]Reduced prices of certain cooking appliances. All appliances’ costs are now relatively similar.[/p]

  • [p]Thermal Trouble quest Chocolate cost reduced from 500 Credits to 200 Credits.[/p]
  • [p]No More Shabby Floors now rewards all cooking appliances, rather than needing to choose one of three.[/p]
  • [p]The Critic quest rewards now reward random recipes instead of furniture items.[/p]
  • [p]I Bathe, Therefore I Am now rewards double the amount of Legendary ingredients.[/p]

  • [p]No longer requires Power Cells when switching from one research facility to another.[/p]
  • [p]Slightly lower energy consumption across all activities.[/p]
  • [p]Reduced chance of rare seashells at beginning of the game.[/p]
  • [p]La Galerie (furniture store) opens 1 hour earlier – at 9am.[/p]
  • [p]Small crabs and pheasants can sometimes drop 2 pieces of meat instead of just 1.[/p]

  • [p]After Bianca fixes your fridge in Thermal Trouble, she will gift you with 2 Power Cells.[/p]
  • [p]A new cutscene involving Aloys has been added after Bianca fixes your fridge. This will not be available if you have already started the Soft Opening quest.[/p]
  • [p]New tutorials have been added for Power Cells, Town Hall, Relationships, and Festivals.[/p][p][/p]

  • [p]New emojis have been added for customers for - impatient, tasty, disgusting, angry, and for special skill effects.[/p]
  • [p]Peony tickets have been changed from an item to a currency that does not take up inventory space. Any Peony Ticket items you hold in your inventory will be directly converted into the currency.[/p]
  • [p]Magnifying glass will deactivate when switching to a tool.[/p]
  • [p]Clearer mailbox navigation with a controller with added sound effects.[/p]
  • [p]Improved readability of various UIs.[/p]
  • [p]Skills now have more specific numbered descriptions – eg. 7% Chance of finding a recipe when reading a library book.[/p]
  • [p]Story-related character dialogues should only appear after becoming an Acquaintance with the character.[/p]
  • [p]After the Critic review, character dialogues will be different depending on how well your review did.[/p]
  • [p]Better bow accuracy when targeting an animal close to you.[/p]

We have temporarily removed 3 of the current tracks, since they are looping tracks and does not fit with well with the rest of the album. More tracks will be added as we continue with development.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]VERSION 0.8 MAJOR UPDATE[/p][p]Version 0.8 is a purely content-focused major update and will be coming early in the new year. This update will feature new quests, areas, restaurant challenges, and even a major new character![/p][p][/p][p]LOCALIZATION[/p][p]We have been working with a great localization team for the past months and have translated most of the text in Chef RPG into several languages. Since we are still in the middle of adding new content and changing certain texts, we will likely spend a bit more time on finalizing the translations and doing some language testing.
