As 2020 comes to a close we have exciting details to share about our last big update for the year. Coming before the end of the year, Update #3 combines long requested sandbox features with a full new chapter themed around trains!

Train Chapter

🚉 Trains Chapter 🚉

A brand new chapter featuring everybody's* favorite means of transportation: trains! That's right train heads, get excited. Design a suite of train platforms. Are you a cozy platform person with a few vending machines for the commuters, or do you prefer industrial freight cars in it for the long haul? The train chapter will cater to all sorts of decaying-train-station desires!

*Disclaimer: Anecdotal survey recorded among devs. Trains may not in fact be everybody's favorite means of transportation.

🌱 New Plants 🌱

With new chapters come new plants, with new plants come new garden possibilities! The train chapter will feature the more new plants than any update yet, and that's all I can say for now.

New props to unlock throughout the chapter to build your own train stations in the Sandbox!

🌐 Grid Snapping 🌐

That's right, you asked for it and we're bringing it! Probably one of our most requested features, grid snapping is finally coming to Cloud Gardens. Architectural props, and props that connect together will now be placed on a grid.

🏔️ Customizable Sandbox Bases 🏔️

Small, medium, large? These are concepts of the past! From now on YOU get to decide the size of our creations. Small-Medium? You can build it. Large-ish? Go for it. Weird L-Shape? Yeah, if that's what you want. Bases in the sandbox are now made out of modular components which you'll be able to piece together to create the base of your dreams.

🧰 Sandbox Tools 🧰

The sandbox will be getting a suite of new tools which will help gardeners take extra care of their builds. Need to prune back some of your plants to make the perfect vine? Use the Prune Tool! Need a little inspiration? Use the Random Prop Button to get some.

✨ Visual & Organizational Menu Updates ✨

The prop finder is getting a visual and organizational overhaul. Now with clear categories it should be easier than ever to find what you were looking for.

🌿 Even More! 🌿

Along with the usual suite of bug fixes and tweaks, there are still a few features in the hopper which we'll talk more about closer to launch.
