The sixth update for Colony Siege is here! This update adds a new mission, a new speed setting, improved performance, expanded view areas, bug fixes, and more.
- Added mission 20 - Hermes
- Internal engine rendering performance improvements.
- Mission Objective and Minimap UIs can now be closed.
- Added "Custom" graphics quality level for fine-tuning rendering options.
- Added option for disabling heat shimmer.
- Added an additional Game Speed option. Options are now Normal, Fast, and Faster.
- Expanded viewable area in Tranquility, New Dublin, Planck, Norway, Darla, Artemis, Hermes.
- Added heat shockwave effects for large explosions.
- Enhanced Commander destruction effects.
- Asteroids are now fully client-side for smoother animations during multiplayer games.
- Increased Riven Hangar and Bunker health stats.
- Railguns can no longer be commanded to target buildings (or Riven missions are too easy).
- Subsidized Weapon Testing perk now provides 50% bonus metal for every unit destroyed by an Air, Missile, or Satellite strike.
- High Capacity Housing perk now increases the unit cap by 6 over the normal amount.
- Enemies in Planck no longer start attacking before the first wave.
- Minimap view frustum is now anti-aliased for higher quality.
- Remapped "Select Similar" command from Ctrl+L to Ctrl+S. This resolves a conflict with Build Saber which was also Ctrl+L.
- Fixed Bombing Run "trajectory" spelling error.
- Fixed crash that could occur when building a tower after the mission has been won.
- Fixed memory leak that could occur during Store Preview animations.
- Fixed Barrier cost in tooltip when Licensed to Maze perk is active.
