I have three pieces of news for you: two good ones and a bad one.
Good News No.1:
You’ve probably already noticed that one major problem has been identified since the game was released. It’s a considerable performance slowdown when the number of pixels in the workspace is more than 5,000.
For example, if the screen resolution is 1920x1080, the workspace for the minimal scale is 108x96 = 10,360px, which produces a rather perceptible delay when trying to change colors or perform scrolling.
This problem doesn’t allow playing comfortably:
- on screens with high resolution;
- with the minimal scale;
- on low-end video cards and laptops.
Technical quality of the game is the priority task for me, and that is why I’ve decided to make a major refactoring of the game code.
I’m planning to finish it in 3-4 days’ time and then release the 1.1.0 update.
Bad News:
Due to the necessity to redesign the game code for the 1.1.0 update, the DLC release is postponed for a week and is going to take place on May 3.
That gives you some extra time to save money for the purchase of the DLC, though ːsteamhappyː
The base price of the DLC is $4.99.Good News No.2 (compensation for the postponement of the DLC release date):
On April 26-27 the 1.1.1 update is going to be released, which will feature 5 new images for the base game.
