Update #99: Metal Head

[p][/p][p]Knights and mercs, we've got another content update coming online today with 4 new appearance options, including full helmets, fixes for the deltaware cybernetics that need to provide matrix Talents (FlashMem 1200MX and X-Drip Mindflare) as well as a big fix to how Exfiltrate mission objectives are created, ensuring that your rescue contact never escapes easily![/p][p]We hope you enjoy the pretty constant stream of free updates We hope you'll consider leaving a review to help our small team keep cooking![/p][p][/p]

Our Save Game Policy and Updates

[p]Let us start by saying we take your saved games very, very seriously. Since you'll always be seeing a lot of updates around here, we want to reiterate our saved game policy so everyone understands our commitment to your games. No saved game will ever be invalidated by an update. All new content and features will be added immediately to all saved games (with the reasonable exception of New Game options). You never have to restart if you don't want to. This is a studio commitment that we have made and kept for many years and games. We stand by it. So do not stress about the deluge of updates that is coming your way - heist on my good heisters.[/p][p][/p]

Metal Heads FTW!

[p][/p][p]With Update #99, we've finally added full helmets to the cosmetic options. With this update we have the first full encased helmet, which looks great with the new neck protectors. We've also included one of the half helmets popularized by enemy snipers. There will be more helmet options coming, so check out the sleek ones that are out in #99, see how they fit your dome and get ready for more appearance options coming.[/p][p][/p][p]Along with these new cosmetics comes a new option in the Options > Gameplay > Character Appearance Options section. This option allows you to decide if your characters should keep their helmets on when having conversations in the safehouse. This allows you to customize your face and all of your cosmetics (beard, tattoos, glasses, hairstyle) and then when you're talking, you are polite enough to take off your helmet and show your style. Then when you go on missions, the helmet stays on.[/p][p][/p][p]By disabling this option, you go full metal head and keep the helmet on all the time.[/p][p][/p]

New Glasses Options & Fixed Others

[p][/p][p]With Update #99, we've added 2 new glasses options with a new e-sense interface rig and a sharper, more angular pair of aviators. This rounds out the options for extra eyewear options and we're excited to see these new options giving more variety.[/p][p]We have resolved an issue with the face shade glasses cosmetic - it had gotten really squished across the face and was no longer very wide. It had lost its "cool". [/p][p]If you do see a cosmetic option that isn't looking right on your character, please hit F10 or post about it to the Steam forums. Basically, everything has been realigned and there are many thousands of combinations. While the automated realignment is much more accurate, there can still be mistakes![/p][p][/p]

Fixed Deltaware Matrix Cybernetics

[p]Two deltaware matrix-focused cybernetics - the FlashMem 1200MX and the X-Drip Mindflare were both missing their Talents by the time you got to the matrix. They were well advertised in advance but suspiciously missing from the Talent bar in the matrix hacking HUD.[/p][p]We have resolved this issue and fixed the badly coded data so that these matrix-cybernetics now appear and offer their powerful Talents. Definitely don't sleep on these deltaware options - rep your merc's Loyalty up to 60% and go for that Deltaware site![/p][p][/p]

Fixed Exfiltrate VIP Starting Locations

[p][/p][p]When you're called on to rescue or exfiltrate a stranded VIP, they are stuck behind enemy lines and you need to reach them to help them escape. This is a fun and stressful type of mission IF and only if the VIP is actually in a dangerous position. We have rewritten the VIP placement calculation to make them more likely to end up somewhere excitingly bad instead of possibly ending up right next to - or even standing in! - the extraction objective. This reduces a lot of the "why am I even here?" possibilities for these missions and helps increase their challenge level.[/p][p][/p]

v2.7.47 - #99: Metal Head - 8/19/2026

[p] - Added first 2 helmet options in appearance - full helm slicer model and half helm tact sense model[/p][p] - New options to decide if characters should wear their helmets in safehouse/dialog in Option > Gameplay > Appearance Options[/p][p] - Added 2 new eyewear options in appearance - new angular aviators glasses and e-sense interface rig[/p][p] - Fixed issue with some eyewear options getting too squished across the faced (not wide enough)[/p][p] - Fixed some issues changing characters after selecting one of the neck protectors and white areas being left visible[/p][p] - Fixed bugs with FlashMem 1200MX and X-Drip Mindflare deltaware cybernetics not having a Talent that appears during hacking the matrix[/p][p] - Fixed many issues with Exfiltrate VIP missions where the exposed VIP may be close to or start inside the extraction objective[/p]
