Water physics is working, it can still be a bit glitchy or laggy if a lot of water needs to move at once. Consequently to recent changes, underwater has to remain blocky. It's unknown if underwater areas can or will ever be a smooth surface again, it's very likely it would be a poor use of time to try and support it going forward - in my opinion as a solo dev. The basic reason is after the voxels were made far more accurate to the surface, the water can no longer appear to share the same space as the sand, as they would actually need to do so. The good thing about keeping it this way is the BLOCKY game rule will continue to have full support and parity with the regular gameplay at least.
Voxel mining has been added in V0.00 and since improved. Small vertical holes (up to 10ish cm) may still appear on thin slices near the surface, but it's close to being fixed. Block voxels mesh with the smooth surface much more closely and accurately.
Basic work to implement the first Dimension should be underway soon. DO NOT expect a full fledged dimension full of resources and enemies in V0.01 - this will strictly be a basic setup with a few unique blocks comprising the dimension, to be filled in with content later. Future dimensions will likely be held off entirely until they have a decent amount of resources, creatures, and content, before being accessible to the player. Doing it this way early on will help me to respond to feedback, as well as demonstrate continuous development on the game. You should be able to set up factories in every dimension, but they'll only run in the dimension you're currently in. Long-term though, concurrent multi-dimensional factories should be possible eventually. The base game has had dimension support from day 1 (as well as voxel support), this is just a matter of re-enabling and sometimes re-implementing certain things.

- Some kind of tasty creature that drops something that can be cooked

- Teleporter (costs resources to travel, the primary way to get to a dimension)
- Workshop (used to modify tools, use artifact stars to bring out unique properties of certain resources, StC)
