I just updated Desktop Panels (short DP) to Version 1.12.4.

DP now works in the background. This means Steam can be shut down while DP is running in the background. Showing the UI will connect to Steam again.

A full offline feature is in progress and planned for the release.

The rendering is now more precise and works more accurately. This means it won't slow down on high-resolution gifs (like 1000x1000) with high refresh rates.

The "What's new?" window is now available in the tray menu to open it again.

Besides the other features, I am also working on the "Sticky Panels" feature to attach it to other windows but for now, it's quite performance consuming and needs some optimizations. Therefore this feature will take longer to come up - I am on it.
