Demo v0.8.5 (05/22/2024)

Translations

• Japanese (日本語) has been added to the demo
• Korean (한국어) has been added to the demo
• Some bugs with Chinese translations (简体中文 / 繁體中文) have been addressed

Quality of Life Improvements

• Using right click to cycle to another tile will now progress in sequence, making it easier to find specific tiles.
• A small settings screen opens the first time the demo is played for setting Language and Music Volume
• A small cursor appears when the camera is moving to better illustrate the focal point
• An automatic migration will check your My Documents/Dystopika for save files and move them to a new Location in LocalLow/Voids Within/Dystopika (see below)
• Added more placement flexibility to billboards and neon signage.

Bug Fixes

• Refresh rate now shows properly in the resolution settings
• Fixed some prop placement geometry for some buildings
• Fixed some crashes on startup when system language matches a possible, but disabled translation in the game.

Save Files

Due to reported issues with Steam Cloud syncing saves from My Documents/Dystopika, I've decided to move save files to the easier-to-work-with AppData/LocalLow. This prevents potential conflicts with OneDrive syncs or general permissions problems within My Documents.

A migration (mentioned above) will move any existing Saves to the new locations and rename the old folders as Backups. If you encounter no issues, the Backups can be safely deleted.

Steam Cloud will be turned on again soon to support the new file location.

My Documents will still be used for Screenshots and ImportAds.

• C:/%USERNAME/AppData/LocalLow/Voids Within/Dystopika/<your steam id>/etc is where Cities, City Thumbnails, and overall Game Progression is now saved
• My Documents/Dystopika is where you will continue to find screenshots, and a folder for importing custom images due to easy access. These folders are not synced to Steam Cloud.
