Hello again everyone!
Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving! A small(ish) update here, primarily aimed at bug fixes and quality of life improvements related to v1.1 feedback.
Release Notes
Changes
- Norsk language now available
- Fog shadowing has been added to maximize sunset ๐๐๐น๐ผ๐.
- Whale hologram has been recentered to the emitter and motion adjusted for better consistency in preparation for future functionality
- Noto Sans Devanagari and Noto Emoji are now part of the Neon Sign fallback font library. ๐๐๐
- Made some adjustments to the rain particle system to improve look and performance
- Pause menu news updates from Steam will now prioritize certain updates
- Adjusted some props to allow for more versatile placement
Quality of Life
- Resolution/Vsync settings have reworked to better demonstrate the functionality relating to framerate
- Fullscreen windowed mode has been added
- Target FPS slider has been added, activated when Vsync is set to off, and also reflects how Vsync limits framerate at different settings
- Closed Loop road setting has been moved to the Advanced Prop panel (no more right click)
- When playing on the Experimental Branch, โExperimental Modeโ, will now be visible on the screen.
- Bulk Backup restore buttons now activate in Experimental mode.
- Experimental Mode saves are now separate from main branch saves and progress is tracked separately. This prevents accidental corruption of saves when moving back and forth between main and experimental. I continue to stress: THINGS MAY BREAK IN EXPERIMENTAL and your saves may be lost
- Removed achievement progress from Experimental mode
- Increased distance threshold to initiate right click on billboard to change image (prevent accidental clicks)
- Decreased height of selectable area on roads to make it easier to select curve control points.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where Closed Loop roads did not save properly
- Fixed a bug that caused Weather state to not save
- Fixed a bug that caused a break in the Monorail track geometry
- Fixed a bug that caused rain to be more performance intensive that it needed to be.
- Fixed a bug where traffic density would not update all parts of the road
- Fixed incorrect texture filtering on traffic
- Fixed Vsync count not saving with resolution settings
- Fixed an issue causing stuttering when rendering UI with Thai characters
- Fixed an issue where buildings could not be moved if placed inside a Prop
Known Issues
- Display settings may need to be reset to reflect new modes and values
- Display settings only show available resolutions and refresh rate for current mode. Options may change when switching between Display Modes (e.g. Fullscreen to Windowed)
- Some prop placements generate incorrect rotations
What's Next
The Roadmap is currently being adjusted to prioritize the introduction of Mod Support before Photo Mode improvements along with other community suggestions. Stay tuned.
