Free Demo Released!
The free demo allows players to play unlimited levels in the game, fight the first boss, and participate in the leaderboard! Progression (power ups, echo/relic accumulation, etc) will be cut off starting at level 7.
UX
- Improved default user settings
- Added visual overlay when stamina is low
Combat & Gameplay
- Magic weapon now bounces up to 3 times and does splash damage
- Lightning interactions now work with some projectiles
- Fully Integrated critical hit stat
- Fully Integrated block chance stat
- Added new NPC to encourage players toward boss encounters (only for first 3 bosses, player is not pressured towards final boss)
- Added NPC waves during boss fights (testing this, will likely change)
Balance Changes
- Death penalty is now ignored for players under level 5
- Adjusted NPC scaling over time for better pacing
- Removed armour/magic resist upgrades and boosted vitality upgrades for npcs as match progresses. Hitting 1s and 2s is boring. Player can now keep hitting hard late game but health pools will increase compoundly as the player progresses further.
- Adjusted armor tier rolls to make tier 1 far less common as bosses are killed
- Armor rolls now choose from a dedicated armour and jewelry pool. 1st roll is to select the pool (50% for each), then a 2nd roll is done within that pool to determine the exact drop. Jewelry was far too common in drops.
- Spawn rate early game is now based on player level to speed up npc spawn rates. You shouldn't be stuck at the beginning of a match with a slow trickle at level 60+.
- Reduced penalty of respecing from 20% to 10%
- Increased skin-writing cooldown for *Moonlit Fangs*
WIP
- Golems can throw rocks
- Expand basic mage's abilities as match progresses (Example: Summon Tornados)
- More sources for gem drops
- Increase armour drop rate
Bug Fixes
- Added safeguards to prevent skinwriting bar from disappearing
- Fixed issue where NPCs were incorrectly inheriting player armor stats
- Fixed bug allowing bosses to be summoned multiple times
- Fixed equip-item bug causing unintended unequips when item IDs matched
