Patch Notes

Demo Update (0.0.2)

Hey, thanks to everyone who tried out the demo so far!

In addition, I've made some changes that you can read about below:

  • The game's save directory has been changed. This means your settings will be reset, and you will encounter the tutorial again. You will also lose your current run progress. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Enemy Adjustments


  • Every 4 rounds, you will encounter a boss with a special ability.
  • Enemy attack and health scaling have been updated.
  • The default enemy sprite has been changed. The old sprite is now used as the boss enemy sprite.

Quality of Life


  • Added the ability to move and re-arrange cards on the battlefield by dragging and dropping.
  • Added a 3x speed option.
  • Added a section in the shop showing the upcoming enemy.
  • Added a popup showing the shop's probability rates when hovering over the "Shop" header.
  • Ability chaining logic has been reworked to fix certain combos.

Balance Changes



General

  • XP required for level 2 has been decreased from 3 -> 2
  • Banishing cards cost has been reduced from 2 -> 0

Items

  • Apple item has been removed
  • Broccoli item has been removed
  • Avocado item has been removed
  • Carrot item has been changed from tier 2 -> 4
  • Carrot effect changed from giving -1/+3 -> +3 health
  • Pear effect changed from giving +2/+2 -> +2/+1
  • Watermelon effect changed from giving +3/+3 -> +4/+1

Cards

  • Mind Blown ability changed from Activated: Deal 5/10/20 damage -> Hurt: Deal 4/8/12 damage
  • Sick ability changed from dealing 100/150/200% attack damage -> 100/200/300% attack damage
  • Weight Lifter ability changed from gaining +1/+1, +2/+2, +3/+3 -> +2/4/8 attack
  • Juggler ability changed from giving +1/+1, +2/+2, +4/+4 -> +2/+2, +3/+3, +4/+4
  • Fairy ability changed from giving +2/+2, +3/+3, +4/+4 -> +2/+2, +4/+4, +6/+6
  • Raccoon ability changed from gaining +1/2/4 attack -> +1/3/5 attack
  • Present ability changed from giving 100/150/200% stats -> 50/100/150% stats
  • Present base stats changed from 3/3 -> 4/2
  • Package ability changed from summon a 1/1 at all levels -> summon a 1/1, 3/3, 5/5
  • Goofy ability changed from dealing damage 1/2/3 times -> 2/4/6 times
  • Tropical Fish ability changed from summoning two 2/2, 4/4, 6/6 Fish -> two 2/2, 5/5, 8/8 Fish
  • Flamingo base stats changed from 1/4 -> 1/5
  • Wind Face ability changed from summoning a 2/2, 4/4, 6/6 Cloud -> 2/2, 5/5, 8/8 Cloud
  • Skunk ability changed from dealing damage 1/2/3 times -> 2/4/6 times
  • Snowman base stats changed from 1/8 -> 1/10
  • Zombie base stats changed from 4/1 -> 5/1
  • Love Letter ability changed from giving +4/8/12 health -> +5/10/15 health

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where merging gave more stats that intended sometimes
