Quick Performance Patch
Hey Outlanders!
Had to delay the update a little to do some performance improvements to prepare for new content. Additionally a classic case of life trying to get in the way. Went through a substantial change at my day job which has resulted in me being on a new job hunt. Shouldn't be too hard to find something just as stable. It's just gonna take a while so I'll have to put up with some big changes at my current job in the meantime.
Enough about me though, lets talk about the good stuff.
BUG AND GAMEPLAY IMPROVEMENTS
Here is a quick list of the bugs and changes we tackled in this patch:
Fixed issue where knockback on player by bosses would send them in wrong direction
Resolved issue where some enemy deaths may impact performance.
Split Green Pass into two areas to improve its performance further.
Added wildlings to the mines, mining mechanic feature coming in future update
Added voice lines to Nerizana in the magic shop and additionally changed her shop items.
Modified main town shop inventory, future changes planned to better suit Baltane town area.
Increased gold reward values for certain side quests in Baltane.
Fixed issue where Corvin boss wouldn't trigger doors to lock at boss fight start.
Add new Wildling Drake enemy
Resolved issues where the Wildling Archer would shoot three arrows instead of two during its charge skill.
Adjust aura drop rates for enemies in green pass to better match level where they are discovered.
Removed Wildling Knight enemy to be optimized and placed in later content.
Added new magic weapons
Retooled Blue Aura Mace to Azure Aura mace to align it more to the lightning element.
UPCOMING PLANS
To give you guys an update on upcoming content, we hope to deliver the following in the upcoming update:
Finish fleshing out Baltane NPC lines and dialogue
Add Downtown Whisper Area to give players access to fight more Grimwick enemies and face four new bosses. In addition three new quest lines that revolve around investigating Whisper.
Access to the Red Tail Forest outside of the Celeste Settlement. This will include new living armors to face against including a longsword slinging warrior and a caster that acts as a cleric and shoots blue blade magic at its foes.
Lastly, depending on how much time gets consumed by these tasks, if I am able I am also planning to add the Sewer area back under Baltane and the Guard training camp. This would give players access to the Guard Training quest and the two sewer quests.
