I walk up to the woman, and hand her the items.
Druid remains. Construction equipment. Simple trinkets.
"Good. It's all there. I expected nothing less."
Now, as for my payment…"Yeah yeah yeah." She hands me a box with six advanced items.
I will not accept it. I put the box on the ground.
"Well… that was the deal. This, or nothing."
Very well, then. I walk away from the lady. I got what I came for.
I bump into a girl in a lab coat when walking out of the workplace.
"Who are you?"
Just a delivery person. See you around. They have no idea what's coming.
They can't stop it, anyway.Hello, adventurers!
Welcome to a brand new, a bit bigger update of Full Gear. A lot of new items and some other new stuff too. It's been a month since release and I've been working on making (but not balancing!) a bunch of new features, with things like minibosses and powerful Drone parts coming for later… hopefully. Life's been busy. Let's get right to business.
New Items!
32 items! 32 new items! Ridiculous!
…too ridiculous, really.
These will be the last regular items added. The item pools are saturated, so let's divert attention somewhere else afterwards. Now, you can truly overclock any run if you manage to get past the, what? Third boss?
It's worth noting that none of the new items are available in the demo, because I'm a greedy dirtbag who wants people to play the full game. It's not expensive and allows you to do really cool things like leaving a review! Please leave a review.
Boss Buffs
The best boss-killing strategy, especially for late-game bosses, was "stand next to them and hit them". I want to prevent this. Bosses should be challenging! Difficult! Requiring thoughts and some degree of preparation!
So I'm giving all bosses a buff. Starting at the
third boss you fight in a run, they gain some sort of extra defense against you if you keep standing next to them. Move back every once in a while, won't you! To keep you from making any progress at all, the first two bosses will remain unaffected, and the bonuses don't scale. So be a bit more careful.
Keyboard Support
I've tried making the keyboard select slots and all that. Believe me, I've tried.
But it's just too difficult. The entire system was built for mouse and keyboard, not just keyboard. So I'm sorry - it won't be super straightforward to work with only keyboard.
Though I'm not retracting my promises. You
WILL get full keyboard support - awkward or not.
In this update, you can move the mouse with arrow keys during any UI (inventory, Utility, NPC, etc). This should tremendously help.
It's not completely done yet, I want some more polish. Cursor speed, tab to switch inventory, things like that. But it's coming. Hopefully.
