LET THE PARTY BEGIN!!!

Game Master Engine is now free to play! The free version of the game now allows players to enjoy most of the features Game Master Engine offers. Build beautiful 3D maps, manipulate minis, and most importantly connect to multiplayer sessions. While players with the Free Edition are not able to host their own multiplayer game, they are allowed to connect to multiplayer sessions hosted by someone with the Game Master Edition DLC. This means that the Game Master can host a game for the entire party to join at no cost to the players.

Currently, there are only two differences between the Free Edition and the Game Master Edition:

Free Edition:

• Players with the Free Edition of Game Master Engine are not able to host their own multiplayer games. They must instead join the lobby of someone who owns the Game Master Edition.
• Players with the Free Edition are only given one save slot for single-player maps.

Game Master Edition:

• Players with the Game Master Edition can host and join games with no restrictions.
• Players with the Game Master Edition are not limited to how many maps they can save at a time.

We also want to point out that for a limited time you can pick up the GM Edition DLC at a reduced price of -60% making it only $19.99! This is a result of us taking part in the Steam Digital Tabletop Festival. The sale/event ends Oct. 24th 10:00 AM PT.

We have many changes, improvements, and features to add to multiplayer in the coming weeks. Currently, everyone but the host of a multiplayer session will be limited to moving, scaling and rotating props, walls, minis, etc. The host will have unlimited control over all aspects of the game. In coming updates the host will be able to provide players with permission to build, place minis, paint tiles, and edit other parts of the world (some limitations will still apply to the Free Edition of Game Master Engine.)

We hope this update will make it much easier to convince your entire party to give Game Master Engine a try. We also aim to eliminate the cost of inviting friends to join your game. Now, only the Game Master needs to make the purchase for the entire party to be able to play along for free.
