Developer’s Note: Major Update Plans and Updated Timeline

[p][/p][p][/p][p]Hello, this is JANG, the Executive Producer of Game of Thrones: Kingsroad[/p][p] [/p][p]First of all, the development team fully understands the frustration caused by the delayed updates. Please be noted that we take this responsibility seriously.[/p][p] [/p][p]Nevertheless, we would like to express our gratitude to all our players for their unwavering patience and for invaluable feedback you continue to share with us.[/p][p] [/p][p]To enhance the overall quality of Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, the development team is working on updates that focus on combat experience improvements, growth structure reorganizations, and content reinforcement.[/p][p] [/p][p]In this Developer's Note, we would like to outline the key updates currently planned and, for the first time, share the expected updated timeline.[/p][p] [/p][p]⚠️ All the following information is under development and subject to change before release. [p] [/p][p]\[Overview of the Major Update Plans][/p][p] [/p][p]Changes to Item Values: Growth Structure Reorganization[/p][p] [/p][p]We are redesigning the acquisition methods and structure of the Artifact and Jewelry systems so that players can more intuitively understand and follow the growth process.[/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p]We are completely refining the acquisition system and overall structure for Artifacts and Jewelry. By removing the draw mechanics, these items are now obtainable primarily through content rewards.[/p][p] [/p][p]In particular, we are enhancing the growth system for Jewelry to ensure a rewarding experience throughout the farming and refinement process. Furthermore, we are implementing a trading post system that allows players to freely trade unused Jewelry and items gained from gameplay content rewards.[/p][p] [/p][p]Through this system, players can earn Dragon Gold, providing a clear sense of purpose for end-game content and enhancing the overall value of their items.[/p][p] [/p][p]We are overhauling how Artifacts are earned and utilized, and there will be significant changes to their overall value and balance.[/p][p] [/p][p]We will provide more specific details regarding Artifacts and Jewelry in our May Developer's Note.[/p][p] [/p][p]Shifts in combat styles: Improvement of Playstyle[/p][p] [/p][p]As previously introduced in our December Developer’s Note, we are preparing the weapon swap system. \[Link][/p][p] [/p][p]Weapons can be swapped freely depending on the situation, and when a swap is used while a specific gauge is charged, the rage gauge will be instantly recovered, allowing players to make more strategic use of each weapon’s skills.[/p][p] [/p][p]A Specialization Point system will also be added so that players can experience more strategic control and a wider range of play styles through the weapon swap system.[/p][p] [/p][p]The Weapon Specialization Point system is a growth feature that allows you to invest in each weapon type. It is designed to let you customize weapon performance and playstyles to suit your preferred strategic approach.[/p][p] [/p][p]Furthermore, by improving parry timings and hit detection, we aim to reduce the sense of frustration in combat and make the overall combat flow feel more intuitive.[/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p]A New Trading Post: The Player Trading System[/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p]A new trading post system is being added to facilitate resource circulation between players and to expand the overall gameplay experience.[/p][p] [/p][p]The system is designed to provide another growth path by allowing you to secure necessary resources through trading, in addition to direct acquisition. It also aims to naturally encourage interaction between players.[/p][p] [/p][p]Players can freely trade a variety of items, including consumables (Draughts) and gathered materials, as well as growth-related equipment.This enables you to selectively acquire the resources you need based on your playstyle.[/p][p] [/p][p]We hope the trading system will further activate player-driven economic activity and the broader community experience.[/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p]\[Overall In-Game Balance Changes][/p][p] [/p][p]The overall difficulty balance will be adjusted to reflect the changes in the growth structure and combat system mentioned earlier.[/p][p] [/p][p]With the significant changes to growth paths and combat flow, we are restructuring the difficulty and play experience for each content accordingly. We aim to ensure a seamless growth journey and rewarding experience of challenge.[/p][p] [/p][p]Looking ahead, we will continue to share more specific details monthly through our Developer’s Notes, keeping you closely informed about the main system overhauls as we gear up for this massive update.[/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p]\[Updated Timeline][/p][p] [/p][p]The development team is currently preparing a comprehensive overhaul with the goal of releasing the update in the third quarter of this year.[/p][p] [/p][p]For the regions currently in service, we have major changes planned across the entire player experience, including the adjustments to core item value and a complete overhaul of the economic cycle. Furthermore, to align with the new growth and combat mechanics, we are preparing a comprehensive restructuring of regional content and overall world difficulty. Accordingly, we will proceed with the transfer of equipment and currency based on accumulated data, accompanied by a rebalancing process to align them with the new system structure.[/p][p] [/p][p]For the Asia region, where the service is yet to be launched, we will first introduce the overhauled balance at the end of May. Following a thorough process of validation and enhancement based on actual gameplay data, we plan to sequentially expand these updates to all other regions.[/p][p] [/p][p]Ideally, we would like to apply these improvements to all regions simultaneously. However, we have decided to prioritize stability and quality, given the current service environments, accumulated data, and various technical factors.[/p][p] [/p][p]Even though it may take additional time, we aim to provide a seamless and complete experience for every Lord.[/p][p] [/p][p]We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work toward this goal.[/p][p] [/p]
