Hello and thanks again for the continued feedback and reporting.
I managed to take my first day off yesterday since release and nothing was reported broken in my absence, so I'm taking that as a major win! definitely into the polishing phase now.
Changelist for today's update. All changes affect saved games unless otherwise stated.
Gameplay / Balancing- Toned down and capped the dramatic team popularity changes.
- Increased the chances of AI teams sacking permanently maimed fighters.
- Having nerfed the player-character (‘PC’) intelligence and work ethic to ensure much slower development over several seasons, that was creating too bad a penalty on PC experience gain. PC xp gain is therefore now independent of intelligence and has a minimum of 25 if on the winning team. Your PCs should therefore start levelling up again at a more reasonable rate.
- Further tweaks to AI team management to further improve its skill at managing the budgets sensibly.
Fixes / Editing- Fixed player graveyard tooltips to appear above the graveyard to avoid going offscreen.
- (Possibly) fixed odd rare instances of dead fighters being mentioned in the battle log. Still not 100% that I’ve caught it but I’ve tracked one possible issue and added some safeguards. Let me know if you see this again and if you do a screenshot of the detailed battle report would be awesome – please post in steam discussion forums.
- Minor editing to various help screens.
- Fixed an issue preventing a player from sacking a criminal who had been injured for >= 42 days where they had a second injury on <42 days.
- Fixed a bug making the class advantage achievements harder to trigger (it wasn’t counting the original 25%). Still nobody has made it to 100%+, notwithstanding this bug!
- The option to maintain a ‘Press’ that had been selected the previous turn will now correctly disappear when control drops below 51.
- Tutorials on unwise ‘control’ decisions no longer trigger when the fighter has caused the situation by disobeying the player due to ill-discipline.
- Fixed saving the Cup History in Team History so it no longer bizarrely says “Rock Solid” in that column for future seasons. The cup records for old seasons in existing saves are lost – sorry.
- Fixed a bug in the combat AI making AI less likely to go for combination moves when they involved a defensive aspect. AI should now use (or rather try to use) combination moves more often.
- Minor typo corrections to tooltips.
