Apologies for the slower progress this week. Been very busy in the day job.
Excited for the future of this project but still in the polishing zone for now.
One major development is the VERY small start on a French translation. Watch out for progress on this in the coming month. This is thanks to Tchey's volunteering with the French. If anyone is interesting in helping out with other languages then do get in touch!
And while I'm thanking people specifically, I feel I owe particular thanks to Myll and Xuande for some really great specific bug reporting and ideas. Much appreciated guys.
LanguageBegan the French translation! Approx 2.5% complete (i.e. almost nothing). But Tchey has already given me a lot more to start implementing.
Gameplay / Balancing- Forced bleed out death for any fighter who drops below 1 blood (I had reports of some uber-tough fighters sticking it out with no blood! Most will bleed out or fall unconscious long before this).
- Removed the possibility of ever failing an energy roll on 90+ energy (it was already very unlikely on 70+ but now impossible for 90+).
- Forced team backer to recalculate team budgets every week instead of every fourth week so that the correct budgets are always displayed and there’s no need to go to ‘finance’ and use the slider to get the true value anymore.
- Made it easier for fighters to stand / rearm if opponent is resting.
- Prevented fighters from missing out on a combination finisher by running out of energy – that’s just not satisfying (I had already prevented discipline fails at this point for the same reason).
UI / Presentation- Added a tutorial in the 8th week to teach the player more about how training works.
- Added labels to fight screen to explain that the red sphere = blood and the blue sphere = armour.
- Removed an obsolete options button from the blood sphere.
Fixes- Fixed a bug causing display issues in the Barracks when the player went Barracks -> Home -> League -> Barracks (from clicking their team in the table).
- Removed some erroneous and confusing references to team leaders in the detailed bleed out roll log.
- Fixed player not being able to level up a fighter when they have exactly the right amount of exp rather than more (i.e. 1500 on the nose for level 2).
- Fixed various bugs resulting from the new mortality options.
- Fixed home screen news sometimes repeating during an rest / cup . play-off week.
- Fixed a bug that was causing problems with recovery from the ‘punctured throat’ injury.
