Regular Update: v1.17

Catching up on some great suggestions and useful bug reports over the weekend, this is an all-rounder patch that…. well… fixes the 'All Rounder' perk. And some other stuff!

Gameplay / Balancing

  • Minor adjustments to generation parameters. Criminals are now slightly less likely to be rogues (that was too overwhelming a probability) and slightly more likely to be barbarians/defenders/leaders. Slaves are now slightly less likely to be barbarians (again, was too common) and slightly more likely to be defenders/leaders. Should start to see more defenders / leaders now.
  • Slight reduction to citizen salaries across the board.
  • Player Character’s salary is now capped to 500 or 1/5 of team total spend, whichever is the higher (but, for the avoidance of doubt, if their ‘natural’ salary is less than that cap it stays at that lower value).

UI / Display

  • Changes to blood loss rate from minor injuries now recorded in detailed battle report.
  • Added speed, stamina and leadership info to the injury table in the barracks screen. Shrunk the titles to ensure it fits all resolutions.
  • Convicts (AI sub glads for when team is out of fighters) are now distinguished in the battle reports (i.e. no longer just says “Convict advances to attack” but “Convict Three advances to attack”.
  • Added info about the current bleed rate to the ‘Health’ card front display.
  • Added a tutorial note in week 3 for players finding it difficult.
  • Player fighter xp gain is now also visible in battle results screens displaying 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 results.

Fixes

  • Fixed a bug allowing fighters to defend AND rest in a single move on discipline break.
  • “Eyeballing” dead player fighters (misreporting in the detailed report) now hopefully fixed.
  • Fixed a bug that was sometimes randomising number of fighters during league matches in certain weeks after week 37.
  • Fixed a bug with the all rounder and class destroyer perks. No doubt these will now trigger immediately for lots of people!
  • Angled Attack no longer (erroneously) gives the bonus if the fighter with that perk breaks discipline during the move.
