Bits and pieces today
Gameplay / Balancing- Major balance change: Gladiator class now gets a buff to potential weapon skill on creation and a corresponding nerf to leadership, to give them a bit more character and appeal. (Won’t affect existing Gladiators, only newly generated ones).
- Further refinements to citizens’ salaries. Now slightly cheaper when they are young and undeveloped, and slightly pricier once they get good.
- Gave a +5 to current attribute value to whichever attribute the player chooses on starting a new game for the player-character focus, to make that decision slightly more meaningful.
UI / Presentation- Minor spelling edits on tooltips.
- Made play-off weeks much more obvious, with a tutorial pop-up, notice in news panel and note next to team name in selection screen.
- Highlighted the attribute that the player-character focussed on in creation in light blue (only works for new saves).
Fixes / Edits- Further ‘Entrench’ bug fixed.
- Fixed a bug nerfing player team recruits in higher divisions. Anyone in a higher div should see much better offerings now. Let me know how that affects difficulty – arguably could get a little too easy even though player and AI are now on an equal playing field. More difficulty options planned.
- Fixed a short-term bug with tooltips in the barracks arising from the last patch.
- Fixed a bug making the player pay a signing fee twice when re-signing fighters out of contract.
- Fixed a couple of bugs affecting the ZeroIn perk.
