Hi Everyone!

It's day 4 after release and I have another decent update package for you. I feel like the game has improved hugely in just a few days with the benefit of so much amazing feedback and help from the community. The game feels like a far better balanced challenge and the major bugs reports have almost vanished entirely. You're all really brilliant and I really appreciate the comments, reviews and reports.

This patch has a number of class tweaks in it as well as some much requested changes to font size with some options on that!

Detailed Changelog from the last 25 hours (some of these went up a while ago, others only just now):

Presentation

  • Massive overall to font sizes.

  • [*]New font size option in Options Screen (accessible from Home / News screen)
    [*]Options for standard, smaller or larger font sizes.
    [*]Default (standard) font size increased generally throughout the game.
    [*]“Smaller” is close to how it looked before this patch, if you liked it how it was.
    [*]“Larger” available for those who are still struggling.
  • Tooltip boxes now much bigger to make for easier reading.
  • Delay added to tooltips in barracks
  • Put armour toughness modifiers into the main battle log to show the player more clearly how important different armour types can be and to highlight that as a major plus for the defender class.

Balance / Gameplay Changes

  • Reduced rogue armour toughness from 4 to 2 because Rogues are presently overpowered and they are only wearing cloth.
  • Increased Defender armour toughness from 12->13 to reflect their primary purpose of being tanks.
  • Increased Barbarian damage by +2 base damage against armour (18->20) and +1 base damage (now swing = 6, smash = 13, crush & rage = 17) against flesh because they are meant to be beasts with massive clubs and are not quite cutting it at the moment.
  • Increased the bonus to potential Leadership for Leaders by +5 guaranteed on generation.
  • Increased the maximum team discipline gain from a successful leadership check from 20->30 to improve discipline when you have a great leader.
  • Increased the maximum team bravery gain from a successful leadership check from 20->30 to improve bravery when you have a great leader.
  • Prevented a fighter from failing a discipline check when performing a combination finishing move – this was just too unsatisfying / annoying. Applies to AI as well, so they cannot fail b/c of discipline either.

Bug Fixes & Editing

  • Fixed a bug that prevented leaders from generated with enhanced leadership. They should now generate with much better leadership on average (although there will always be exceptions!)
  • Made the minimum 20 damage to armour on combo moves take effect after armour toughness modification so it will always be at least 20.
  • Fixed a temporary bug up for only a couple of hours today that removed the armour combo finisher bonus completely.
  • Fixed another easter egg gender error and typo.
  • Fixed a bug that very rarely nerfed recruits and indeed even possibly easter egg fighters.
  • Clarified tooltip explaining ‘Guard’ perk.
