Update: Physics 2.0 Now Live!
In order to achieve the ultimate flying experience its important to get the flight mechanics as real as possible! That's why the last month or two we have been doing research into the best way of doing the physics. Before we had coded the physics to work fairly well, but we were faking and taking shortcuts with a lot of things. In this new rewrite we do things quite differently. Each cell of the glider obeys aerodynamic calculations of a standard wing and takes into account its weight and surface area. This allows for more complex maneuvers of the glider and more realistic behavior. as each segment has the appropriate lift and drag calculations applied to it. Spirals, wingovers, stalls, and swoops now feel more natural.
Paragliding flight physics is extremely complicated. Much more then just your basic airplane. This method seems to work fairly well, but I am sure we will continue to tweak the physics on later updates. But for now, be sure to give the latest update and try and let us know what you think or any bugs you discover.
