Content update #4 is now live! Just in time for the end of the month.
We noticed the most popular type of map in skirmish has been 2v2, so this time we have a new
4-player map called Lubaans!
A large central lake divides players, only allowing approaches from the sides. Players can be divided along a short defensible or a long open path.Also in this update we’ve added a much-requested feature:
multi-queuing. When you have several of the same unit production buildings selected, units will be queued from both. More quality-of-life features are to come in future updates.
As usual, the content is accompanied by various fixes and improvements. Among those are some balance changes which we added after talking to our Discord community.
Features:
- New map: Lubaans, a 4 player map with a central lake.
- Multi-queueing in military buildings, it divides units to the same type of building.
- Enemy AI now falls back when the attack party only has healers.
- Spigana basic attack moved to hotkey spot Q, for manual bombardment funtimes.
- We decided to remove godpower blocking zones for now. We introduced them last update, but have not seen them improve the game. For now they were too confusing and laden with issues. We will look into making the shrine itself survive more godpower punishment next patch or update.
- Raider Throwing Nets do not target other already-netted units.
Fixes:
- Towers now retarget when enemies walk outside of their targeting range. This previously caused the towers to sometimes stop shooting.
- Attempt to fix text blurriness issues. This appears to be an unexpected challenge, and we will monitor the result of these changes. Please let us know if this becomes better or worse for you with this update.
- Glyphs clear when changing to a hero who is not compatible with them.
- Hunter worshippers now shoot at deer instead of world 0 0 0 location. Aim for the deer, buddies, you can do it.
- Saule’s Solar Ray animation should play without delay now. A custom animation will be added later.
- All army UI counter has been improved, but still needs some issues ironed out.
- Attempting to fix Pukis zero health invincibility bug. We were not able to repro this, so we are aiming in the dark. Please report if you keep seeing this issue or have an idea on how to reproduce it.
- Fixed typo in Amber Ward upgrade description.
- Fixed description of Giltine’s Kiss, it no longer states that it deals foul damage.
- Fix for networking where units kept sending unnecessary commands many times over; this should improve networking performance.
- Catapults now display their damage amount in the tooltip.
- Golden Apple Tree now plays the correct sound when spawned.
- Cleansing Fire no longer locks onto nearby buildings.
Balance:
- Zealot Fire and Brimstone damage reduced from 30 to 20.
- Marksman now have 2 magic resistance.
- Footman wealth cost reduced by 20, food cost increased by 20.
- Knight cost reduced by 50 wealth and 50 food.
- Avenging angel HP increased by 50.
- Manna Grain cost reduced from 250 to 100 faith.
- Fire now does only 25% damage to Warm defense type, such as Pukis and Gabija’s Spirits.
- Sharpened Weapons cost reduced from 500 to 250 wealth.
- Hardened armor cost reduced from 500 to 250 wealth.
- Hammer damage of Footman increased from 20 to 25.
- Catapult HP set to 260.
- Amber tear cost reduced from 180 to 160 faith.
- Marauder damage reduced from 26 to 22.
- Militant food cost reduced by 10.
- Marauder Axe Throw damage reduced from 30 to 28.
- Marauders can no longer stun heroes. They can only kneecap them now.
- Ranger HP increased from 150 to 170.
- Ranger base attack increased from 15 to 18.
- Bear Shield upgrade has additional +1 armor and +20 HP.
- Chain of Condemnation now has 200% lifesteal.
- Giltine’s Kiss damage upped to 32.
- Tier 2 cherub/angel camp has its angel removed and replaced with 3 cherubs. Now there’s 6 cherubs. That’s a lot of cherubs.
- Bite damage to metal now does 60% damage instead of 80%.
- Fire and Brimstone cost reduced from 300 to 225 faith.
- Attraction cooldown has an additional 10 seconds.
- Falling Stars cooldown has an additional 10 seconds.
- Saule now starts with 8 housing just like everyone else.
- Watchtower now requires Forester, not Tier 2 shrine.
- Leshi wood cost reduced by 30.
- Final Reckoning cost increased by 100 faith.
- Solar Fury cost reduced from 800 to 750 faith.
- Lietuven’s Ward cooldown increased from 15 to 25 seconds.
- Pukis basic attack damage reduced from 16 to 15.
- Marauder HP decreased from 260 to 240.
- Warrior now has 2 magic resistance.
- Mark of the Beast is now applied with the Brimstone ability, instead of Holy Fire.
- Knight XP set to 30.
- Pukis XP set to 25.
- Militant XP set to 6.
- Catapult XP set to 15.
- Skybull XP set to 40.
- Ranger XP set to 8.
- Skirmisher XP set to 8.
- Footman XP set to 13.
- Herbalist XP set to 12.
- Solar and Lunar Stardaughters XP set to 40.
- Tracker XP set to 20.
