We'd like to thank everyone who has tried our demo so far and especially those who have gone out of their way to provide feedback!
We've got our work cut out for us for in the coming weeks but there were a few popular requests that we were able to fulfill on the fly.
Namely,
-The tutorial level has been removed from the demo. *
It is a very simplistic tutorial and many players don't need it when the controls are available for reference on the pause menu, preferring expedited access to the actual gameplay. *this could corrupt your save slot if you already created it but never completed the tutorial. Simply delete your slot and create a new one.
-The archery animations have been updated and fixed. The alignment of the arrow when nocked has been centered and no longer fluctuates from side to side with the characters' movement.-A small crosshair has been added to the HUDMostly to improve the ability to aim the arrows but we are trying out having it displayed at all times, since it also accurately represents the sword sweeps and invisible traces for the action button.
-The velocity of the arrow has been more than doubled. This is a parameter we play around with a lot. We use a very realistic physics equation for the arrow. The question remains, how reealistic do we want the bow to be? The 3d model is based off an ancient scythian hunting bow which, in reality, wouldn't have a huge amount of power. However, In my personal testing, I am finding the higher velocity arrows to be more fun and easier to aim. -The rate of fire has also been slightly increased for archery.***
