Goofy Gorillas 2.32 Patch Notes

The Holy Grail of Dodgeball Changes
Dodgeballs have had a rough history in Goofy. From originally being almost useless if you missed your only throw, they are now an effective item as players can reclaim them from anywhere. One small issue with the Dodgeballs currently is that they are using actual physics in multiplayer… Let's just say that hitting players with these is not always guaranteed, but this new solution aims to solve it once and for all.

When a Dodgeball is thrown, it will now use a similar system to how player collision works with just about every other item in the game, but the closest example would be the Boxing Glove dash. While the Dodgeball is thrown and above a velocity threshold, there will be continuous checks to see if any player was hit in that time. If someone was hit, the ball will bounce off from where it hit the player. For clients, it may still look a little funky (multiplayer physics), but at least now you can throw a Dodgeball with more confidence!

The last Dodgeball addition in this update is headshot damage. Now that I have more control over how the Dodgeball hits players, dealing headshot damage is now possible. Getting pelted in the face now really packs a punch!

Customisable controls are here!
It's been requested many times for as long as I can remember, but it is now finally in the game. You can now change up your keyboard controls to make them work for your needs! To do this, visit the new Controls tab in the Options menu.

This update only applies to those using keyboard + mouse and not those using gamepads.

Third-Person Mode!
That's right! Despite being a first-person game, Goofy now allows players to switch between which viewing mode they want to use. The host is able to select which viewing mode is allowed during the gamemodes, with both being enabled by default. If you want a third-person only game, you can now do that!

Stop Prank Calling Me!
Infector and Infector: After Hours has a lot of downtime while the players seeking are struggling to find the survivors. With this update, there is now a new pickup that will spawn when a survivor hasn't been caught in a while. This pickup will spawn a phone that will then call a random survivor and reveal their whereabouts with a loud and obnoxious ringtone!

A Stink Bomb can be used to disable the phone and stop the Survivor's phone from ringing.

I know people will want to be able to turn this off to keep Infector as close to the basic version as possible, so this is an option that can be turned off by the host.
