Patch Notes
Goofy Gorillas v2025.2 Patch Notes - Team Deathmatch is here!
Deathmatch has been the go-to gamemode since the start… Well, here we are, Team Deathmatch joins the current roster of gamemodes in Goofy! The update also includes a revamped game over screen, character editor presets, some quality of life changes to items + gamemodes and much more!
Enter, Team Deathmatch!
You've heard of Deathmatch, but what about Team Deathmatch? Well, it's here and it's just as chaotic as the regular Deathmatch! Everyone will be assigned to one of two teams: The Cheeky Chimps, or The Goofy Gorillas! Whether you want to play as a tactical team or become an unstoppable force, you can decide how you want to win as a team (less likely to be tactical)!
Before the game begins, the host is able to choose who will be on which team in the Game Settings alongside the other Deathmatch settings.
Revamped Game Over Screen!
Now that Team Deathmatch is here, the 3 podium spaces wasn't going to cut it for potentially 9 players squeezing into the camera shot in the Game Over screen, so this update now features a brand new space designed just for that screen! It's very colourful :)
In every gamemode that isn't Team Deathmatch, the #1 player will be shown and will be performing a random action, instead of the top 3 players. So that means no more showing off for participating, you have to earn your spot at the top!
In Team Deathmatch, everyone from the winning team will be shown and all will be dancing to celebrate their hard-fought victory.
Once everyone has seen their placement and their scores, there will be a vote on whether the session returns to normal, or if everyone wants to take the gamemode for another round!
Character Editor Presets!
Personalising your character is an important feature to Goofy, and with this update, showing off your outfits just got even easier! With 2 preset slots, you can now save your favourite outfits and show them off!
Update Notes
- Friends Only is now the default setting when creating a session. (This is to prevent those from making open sessions and then kicking those who aren't friends)
- The game will now be desaturated during the pre-game countdown to make it clearer that the game has not begun yet.
- The score will now be displayed as time instead of normal points in Tag and Tag: After Hours.
- The Juggernaut's default health has been raised to 2,250.
- The Character Editor now has 2 preset slots for saving and loading your outfits.
- Added some colour variants of some already existing cosmetic items.
- Updated the Pointy Hat model to now resemble a wizard hat, with one colour variant locked behind the 'I'm A What? A Wizard?' achievement.
- The Boxing Glove dash speed has been slightly lowered.
- Dark Magic now deals damage when directly hitting the projectile on an enemy player.
- Fixed an issue where the bowling alley lighting would not reset when multiple players leave the area at the same time, i.e. starting the game.
- Fixed an issue with King of the Castle, where cancelling the gamemode would cause the game over screen to show instead of stopping the game.
- (From v2025.1.1) The UI safe zone is now adjustable, making it possible to bring it closer to the edges of the screen.
- Uncrouch blockers have been added to the crouch holes to prevent players from getting stuck.
- The reigning King will now fully heal when eliminating an enemy player during King of the Castle.
- Made some network optimisations.
