Graffiti Bombing: Early Access Update - January 2025

Welcome to 2025, GB Crew!

We’re excited to announce that Graffiti Bombing is officially back in Early Access on Steam!

It’s been a long road—full of challenges, learning, and hard work—but the journey has been worth it. When I started back in 2016, I barely knew Unity or VR development. Today, after years of growth and dedication, Graffiti Bombing is finally back and better than ever.

But this isn’t the end—it’s a new beginning. Over the next 1–2 years, we’ll be expanding the feature roadmap, building on the solid foundation now available to play for free on Steam.

Current Game State & Features

Graffiti Bombing is back with a strong foundation and plenty of features to get you started:
  • Game Areas: Access to the Player Home, Open World starting area, and Creative Sessions maps for focused painting experiences.
  • DLC Content: The `All City Edition` DLC adds extra paint types, tools, and features, with more exclusive content and areas coming in 2025.
  • Core Mechanics: Single-player gameplay, locomotion, and object interactions are stable and functioning well.
  • V1 Paint System: Graffiti tools like spray cans, paint rollers, and marker pens are fully supported and improved.
  • Player Home: The home base is polished and functional, with room for future updates.
  • Open World Zones: Level loading and zone mechanics work, though lower-end systems may experience performance issues or bugs.
  • Creative Sessions: Single-map environments are ideal for players on lower-end systems.
  • Multiplayer & Player Customization: Planned for 2025—stay tuned for updates!
As expected, you may encounter bugs or performance issues, especially on lower-spec systems. We’ll be actively collecting feedback to fix problems and improve the experience throughout Early Access.

Intro & Quick Start (Tutorial)

Missed the basics? No worries! Here’s the Intro & Quick Start tutorial video to help you get started.

You’ll also find this video playing in-game on the TV screen in the Player Home during your first run of the new Graffiti Bombing version.

Early Access Features In Development

January is all about polishing, fixing bugs, and optimizing performance. Even better, Graffiti Bombing is now running on the Unity 6 Engine, bringing cutting-edge technology to power the project.

I’m already working on new features and have big plans for the coming months. I’ll also be gathering ideas and feedback from the community to help shape the roadmap.

See the list below for some of the currently planned features coming during Early Access.
  • GRAF-CAM: A video director system for placing virtual cameras to record and replay graffiti sessions.
  • Multiplayer Mode: Collaborate online with friends to bomb locations together.
  • Open World Expansion: More bombing zones and locations, accessible via subways, sewers, and hidden routes.
  • V2 Paint System: A more realistic, physics-based paint system with improved features and fixes.
  • Advanced Paint Zones: Save, load, share, and import graffiti; aged and weathered effects over time.
  • Challenge Modes: Objective-based gameplay with hazards, health, and AI-driven graffiti scoring.
  • NPCs and AI: Populate the world with NPCs, adding dialogue and interactivity.
• Social Media Integration: Expanded sharing options to showcase and promote your creations.
