Gravethorn Demo – New Features & Bug Fixes (1.29c)

New Features & Adjustments:

  • Inquisitor now automatically notes important locations and NPCs on the map. When a note is added, a notification appears at the bottom left of the screen. You can open the map to track your progress and remind yourself where to go next.
  • Shrine areas on the map now display their names. This helps you decide where to travel before using the fast travel feature.
  • The map UI has been scaled down by 25%, making it more compact and easier to navigate.
  • "Unskippable Cutscenes" are now skippable (excluding The Intro). Hold Enter (or A on gamepad) to skip predefined scenes. This addresses players who dislike watching long cutscenes repeatedly or want to speed through them.
  • To prevent missing or forgetting upgrades at Shrines, an alert text now appears above the statue when an upgrade is available. Similarly, in the upgrade (offerings) screen, a ! icon appears above the buttons for available upgrades.
  • Some players had trouble distinguishing or noticing climbable platforms. Now, a subtle indicator appears when you are on or below these platforms to aid visibility.
  • Completing a specific NPC’s quest now rewards the player with an item. (Which one? You’ll have to find out!)
  • Ravenbell's visuals have been revamped and expanded. As the area with the heaviest corruption, environmental distortions and the unsettling presence of the Roots are now clearly visible.
  • Crimson Lament's (Trinket) location in Ravenbell has been changed. Since players hadn't unlocked the Sorrowflame ability yet, giving them this item caused confusion. The trinket has been relocated, replaced by a "Small Coin Purse."
  • Some players missed or misunderstood the “Repair the Workshop” quest. To clarify, an additional “Goal” has been added and can be tracked in the status window. Map notes also assist with this.
  • Received feedback that tutorial texts were too long and difficult to read. Texts have been shortened and simplified accordingly. Localization updates for languages other than English and Turkish are ongoing and will be added soon.
  • New sound effects have been added for The Murkway region.
  • Burning Skull enemy’s HP has been reduced.
  • Crimson Covenant (Forbidden Art) now deals more damage and attacks slightly faster.
  • Sanguine Writ (Trinket) now grants more HP, and its condition has been clarified in the description.

Bug Fixes:

  • Players could attack enemies above them by jumping under platforms, even with ground in between.
  • In Ravenbell’s entrance, moving in the opposite direction while in the passageway caused the character to snap outside awkwardly.
  • Wraithstone didn’t function correctly in The Murkway.
  • Soulbound Root wasn't working properly.
  • If the Forgotten Sentinel died during its aerial (4th attack) phase, the corpse would sometimes float in mid-air.
  • Zombie enemies wouldn’t trigger execution when stunned with Deathsong.
  • Zombie enemies would cause vibration or screen shake even if those settings were disabled.
  • In rare cases, Bullet or Hellfire Bottle would be given to the player after resting or reviving, even if they weren't in the storage.
  • Minor translation adjustments.

Known Issues:

  • Some players are experiencing excessively wide camera angles, causing parts of some assets to be visible when they shouldn't.
  • Loading a saved game can rarely cause the game to freeze.
  • Wall-jumping rarely fail mid-jump.
  • Execution animations can sometimes desync or misalign with enemy positions.
  • Some enemies are launched too far if hit during a dash or while under a Forbidden Art effect.
  • Burning Skull enemies occasionally don’t move at all.
  • When opening the map, it doesn't center on the player's current location.
  • In some languages, text appears too large, too small, or misaligned on the screen.
