Update 7 is now available and this one is BIG! :D
NEW STUFF:- Public/Private Co-op lobbies! In the new lobby we added the possibility to switch between PvP and Co-op lobby, and create private lobbies. Now you can keep your squad together while you jump from mission to mission and it’s much easier to switch between co-op and pvp too.
- New game mode! Domination: In this new game mode you need to capture all 4 warp gates and then survive for 2 minutes while the aliens keep attacking you. You lose if you lose all 4 warp gates. This new game mode is also available at the map editor. To capture the base, push the button next to it with your weapon.
- New map! Snow Rescue (last map of Boreal). This is our most epic and badass map yet :P You’ll have to clean all the enemies while you descend a giant mountain slope, flying and even skiing with the jetpack, and finally defending the 3 dropships while they evacuate the last personnel of the space port.
- Added the first map of Zephyr (the third planet)! “Zephyr shield”: This is our first official domination map and takes place on a planetary shield construction site. Control the 4 bases for 2 minutes to win.
- Added a new enemy in “Elimination” game mode (Snow Caves and Snow Rescue maps). This small larva spawns from the alien spawners and moves along the map to find the best location to create a new nest.
- New weapon! “Flamethrower” to burn all the enemies in seconds.
- New weapon “Sniper”, with an awesome sight with zoom and manual reloading
- New Army Limit: each player will have a limit on the number of “live” units and structures on the map, to prevent performance issues. By default set to 25. We also added this setting to the map editor so map makers can change it.
- Added a new crosshair to the PC non-VR version to help aiming, and made the weapon more visible.
- Improved performance in the refinery.
- New Spectator cam settings: added option to hide hud and hide player energy bars
- Added an experimental setting to configure the preferred reload method: SemiAutomatic or Manual. Manual is the Pop1 reload style and is only available for the AK5 and the Sniper.
- Added a new system to download “packaged maps” to the game (aka asset bundles in Unity). This will allow us to download Unity generated maps, with all its assets, lightning bakes, etc. as if they were community maps.
CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS:- The AK5 scope has been improved, we inverted the cross and the point so it’s easier to aim.
- Added Arthromahre bosses in the waves of the first map (Refinery) in insane difficulty.
- Improved Refinery map shadows on Quest.
- When you open the PvP menu for the first time, it enables the “show me available for pvp games” setting by default.
- Improved the control of nest spawning rate, to make it more random
- Reduced the shotgun spread from 15 to 10 degrees.
- Removed the invisible cube inside the warpgate, so now it’s easier to shoot through it. Yes, finally! :)
- Changed the projectiles of the Tank, and they are now more powerful. The projectiles explode when they hit an enemy, and also kills other enemies that are close to that enemy
COMMUNITY MAPS:- Fixed community maps were not fully listed in the tab of “All maps” in some conditions.
- Fixed community maps were not loading in some conditions (mainly after returning to the game when the headset was been in stand-by mode for some minutes)
- FIXES:
- Fixed Teleport points disappearing on the minimap sometimes.
- Fixed the “Return to lobby” button in PvP maps was shown as return to editor.
- Fixed a button was showing “Back to Lobby” in a single player game.
- Fixed sometimes 2 lobbies would show up in the PvP tab when loading
- Fixed the score not being saved if you played a co-op game with only 1 player, and was not even showing the scoreboard panel.
- Fixed if the lobby owner leaves the lobby no one else can operate the panels.
- Fixed some sounds were not controlled by the volume settings.
- Fixed the lobby was not working if you started it from the panel at the end of a game
- Fixed when you open/close the menu with dual blades, one blade disappears and the player holds the left blade with both hands.
- Fixed the Push-to-talk setting was not being saved.
- Fixed the FX of the energy blade was too loud.
MAP EDITOR:- New biome available! You can now create maps with the Zephyr biome. Yes, we have water too! :D
- New editor tool to allow you make holes in the terrain (very useful to create caves and tunnels)
- New option to allow you clone a map.
- New spawn restrictor to only allow enemies that can fire from far (OnlyRanged enemies)
- Added Power-up crates that can be configured to give a specific reward (weapons, minerals, units,…)
- Added Forbidden spawn area, to create areas were players cannot spawn new units / structures
- Added Kill volume. When a player enters to inside this area it will die and respawn
- Added Invisible Wall. It is an area that enemies and players won’t be able to cross
- Added Symmetric bridge
- Added Bridge section
- Added Cubes with the same textures on all sides.
- Added Hollow tube asset with hexagonal base
- Added Spiral, C shape, and triangle shape
MAP EDITOR FIXES:- Fixed when a map was saved in the Steam PC version, it lost the wave configuration in some conditions
- Fixed editor crashes when loading Snow biome complex maps.
- Improved the volumes collider when they are scaled very much
- Improved the collider detection of 3 assets
