Totall rework of original Hard Bullet
It's here. Groundbreaking and innovative yet so familiar — sandbox physics experience that blends gunfights, cinematic effects, brutal melee encounters with insane tools and fun modifiers to create unique violent experience.
New Gun Physics and Enemy Models
Enemy's Gun Grab
You can take enemy weapons out of their hands (some force needed though). Enemy holsters are not affected yet.
Gun Hold Physics
Hold your weapons for any part you want! This allows you to perform creative tricks, deadly hits,
impressive reloads and brings a lot of realism into close quarter fights.
New Weapons and Layout
Dozens of new weapons are avaliable for arenas and sandbox fight. You can take a look at the
full list of real world analogs for firearms and melee weapons we have here.
We had to remove break action rifles but be sure we'll return better versions them in future updates.
Enemies and Gore
New models with moving eyes and new animations will make you question your sanity when putting one of those under a giant drill.
Returned blood traces, added volumetric blood particles and endless blood puddles because it was not enought blood before. You can turn those On in the Settings.
New Sandbox
Now Sandbox has several presets in which we can better showcase game mechanics
To make it easier and more fun for gamers and content makers we decided to include defferent locations into one scene. You can switch between different collections on-the-go and keep spawned enemies with you.
Enemy Workshop
You can change enemies size and create true giants or dwarfs. You also can decide if they will stay immortal or will die from damage like regular enemies.
Enemies with scale more than 1.7 will allow you to climb on them:
Ammo Workshop 2.0
With this new Ammo Workshop you'll be able to create more crazy weapons of all sizes. Large pencils and micro pitchforks going to deal a lot of pain to your enemies!
- If object gets bigger it becomes heavier too.
- Firearms damage does not scale.
- Does not work with enemy limbs yet, will be added later.
- Does not work with welded.
Welded Prototypes
Results of freaky experiments, these hybrids are anticipating new feature that will come soon. It's not as innovative as others and probably you met welding in other games, but we'll try to bring it to a new level in the next updates.
Until then enjoy those shooting and cutting monsters we created.
Player Body and New Interactions
Player Body Physics
Player's body now has phisical impact on surrounding. It works so well, you do even not need to press grip to climb on some obstacles. However, we still have special climbing things so you'll have even more fun:
- Meat hooks on chains
- Rusty Pipes
- Big Climbing Scene in Sandbox presets
To say more about new body, we also gave special attention how guns work with it. Big gun's buttstock should not interfere your aiming but will hit enemies as usual.
More Holsters
We polished holster mechanic so it almost never allows missclicks and always gives you the gun you wanted from the right place.
Now player has four front holsters — chest and hips — and one on the back.
Better Distance Grab and UI
So many new things needed new interface and user experience improvements. We decided to move closer to regular 2D layouts.
To make Distance Grab mechanic more intuitive we added more presets for better visualisaion of what interactable object you are targeting right now. You can tune how it looks in the settings, even turn it off completely when you are ready.
Oculus Runtime
For all Oculus users added launch option, so if you have your Oculus device connected, game will ask if should run in native Oculus mode or with SteamVR support.
If you still using Virtual Desktop, you should select SteamVR launch, or just have SteamVR running before launching the game.
We recommend to use official Oculus solutions like Air Link or cable connection.
For all non-Oculus users: if you ever see such option, just select SteamVR launch, obviously.
Wide FOV Camera
We want to thank everyone who creates videos and helps us show Hard Bullet to bigger audience. Whout content creators we won't be able to bring all these innovative features and keep going further.
Hope you all enjoy this new feature!
Temporal Limitations
We tried our best but still not all original Hard Bullet features are here yet. Here is a list of most noticable. They will return rewoked and improved — some are almost here, others will take time.
- No Soundtrack and lack of sounds.
- No Destructions.
[*]Blunts do not deal visible damage to skin.
- Basic Enemy AI.
- Inserted mags are not physical.
[*]Most languages removed.
Old Hard Bullet stays too
We decided to keep old
October 20' - March 21' Hard Bullet available too. Due to new launch options it controls may have issues with Virtual Desktop streaming for Oculus Quest and probably with any other VR hardware too.
You can switch back to old version in the Beta tab, select OldHB and finish download.
Physics Beta is closed
