New updates and issues addressed
A few major issues have been addressed in the first couple updates I've pushed. The biggest improvement is to the framerate, which was in terrible shape. I saw some people getting around 30fps, and that's just unacceptable. So I brought in my pal Owen the Stophammer to help clean up what I couldn't manage. He's going to help make sure all my coding madness is running efficiently so you all get a better game.
I also noticed some people were talking about suddenly being sent back to the main menu. This was happening because they were dying. There are two big issues here. First of all people are dying too fast and they don't have time figure the game out. Second, there is no screen or indicator showing people they are dying other than the notepad that shows stats. This will have to be dealt with right away, so I am going to adjust all the stats and make a death screen. It's ridiculous I didn't have that in there already.
Everyone seemed to figure out how to move, but if you're having issues movement is achieved by using the grips on the Vive controller and moving your arms back and forth. This will all be adjusted and possibly even changed completely in the future based on what people think of it. I like the idea myself, but if it's causing too many problems for people I may want to find another way.
There have been a few other quick fixes to the world, but there will be much more fixed up very soon. The next update will fix the food items that are currently in the game and add some more interactivity to the night and jail environments. I'll be sure there's some indicator that you're being sent to jail too.
