Seasons greetings to you, our dear faithful followers!
This week we will be releasing the Honey, I Joined A Cult Update 1! Four brand new features from the Early Access Roadmap will be added to the game ready to give you new challenges and tests during your reign as Cult leader!
Join us for this sermon in which we reveal those brand-new features!
- Mission choices - Occasionally during missions, your cultists will encounter special events which put you in the spotlight with specific mission choices which can either help… or hinder the mission progress or your cultists while out in the big bad world!
- Random events - During the regular day-to-day running of your compound, random events can occur which can affect the world and all those who inhabit it, including everything from rising blood moons to defective underwear… All of which can affect the way you manage your cultists, compound, and followers.
- Cultist Quirks - Your cultists will now gain quirks as they develop! They can now get a variety of unique character traits that you will have to reckon with as you manage your compound, such as a penchant for night-time work only, only wanting to work in rooms of a certain prestige, or developing a strong admiration for gruel!
- Christmas cosmetics - It's the most wonderful time of year! What better way to reflect that than by getting your cultists to wear their finest Christmas jumpers and party hats, as well as the addition of new decor items, ranging from presents, Christmas trees, and candy canes, plus brand new Relic statues for your followers to worship!
As we mentioned last week, you will need to start a new save game in order to experience the new features, but fear not, as your existing save games will still be accessible, as we will create a separate game branch which you can opt into so you can keep playing your current compound
