Greetings faithful followers! It is I, your humble leader, Burt Biscuit, coming in hot with some fresh information regarding the 2nd major update for Honey, I Joined A Cult!

As a reward for your undying faith and loyalty, I find it fit to share it here!

Update 2 will be bringing a brand new Cult Theme that you can follow on your path to success!

Introducing the Futurist theme!

The Futurist Theme brings with it 6 brand new rooms, 3 special characters, 3 new unique outfits and headpieces for your cultists, and 2 all-new End Game options

New rooms include such exciting new facilities as a Flight Training Room, Robot Army Production Facility, A Human Testing Facility, Rocket Station and a Liquification Chamber! We won't spoil exactly what these do just yet, but we think you will be able to have a few guesses!







Other Update 2 additions include Leader Demands! Fulfill requests from your leader and gain the rewards, or fail to deliver and feel the consequences…

Divine Inspiration has had a rework too, making it easier to navigate through its new tech tree format as well as making it clearer to read and understand.

More Mission choices will be introduced too in this update, along with more mission object reward items to decorate your compound with!

Changes have been made to the Research Tech tree too, in order to better optimise the order in which you unlock things to make compound life more efficient!

Save Game Compatibility

One thing that we are keen to stress about this update, however, is that the new features will only work on brand new save game files. This doesn't mean that your existing compounds and cultists are dead and buried though! We will be releasing a separate game branch on Steam which you can opt into to carry on playing old save games so you can take over the world with your cult of ducks! We will have more info on how to do this when the update is released.

If you try to launch a save game from an older version of the game, you will see the below warning.



Simply close the game, go into your Steam Library, right-click the game and click on properties and select the BETAS option where you can choose which version you wish to run.

If you wish to experience the new additions, just let the game update and start a brand new save game and explore what new features have been included in this update!
