Release Date Announcement — April 23!

Greetings necromancers!
Everyone at the Unfrozen team hopes that, despite difficult times, you are in good trim.

Iratus has difficult times too: he was waiting for ages for a chance to break free and conquer the world - You were waiting too (not for ages, lucky)… But this moment is really close now!

It is time to announce the Iratus: Lord of the Dead full release date. In two weeks, April 23, we’ll leave the early access! All game mechanics, all content — all that we created with your direct participation for the last three years, will be available soon. It will be two new floors, 16 new enemies and two bosses.

For more than a month, we tested new mechanics, interfaces, items and balance in the beta branch. Many thanks to everyone who helped out working on this beta: you made a very big contribution to the development of the game and its final form, without you it would have been much more difficult for us to find out in which direction to move and what decisions to make. As a result of the great interaction with you, we built the current version of the game, which is designed to solve the problems that the players brought up since Early Access, and make the gameplay more comfortable, interesting and exciting.

To ease up the next 2 weeks until full release you can check the already uploaded pre-patch with the interfaces, mechanics, and balance similar to what you will meet in the release version. This version is available for macOS and Ubuntu 18.04 too. The additional floors will be added on full release. Here is an overview of what you can expect in the current version:
  • Minion Upgrading. Each time the minion levels up, he receives 2 Stat Points, for every three levels, the minion will receive Skill Point. The maximum level isn’t limited; ultimate ability may be upgraded from the 15th level.
  • Parts will no longer give random bonuses, but additional Stat Points: uncommon — 2, rare — 6, legendary — 14.
  • Minion Items. More than 50 new universal minion items and 19 unique items for each type of minion.
  • Artifacts. The higher floor, the more powerful artifacts you will gain. Also, added processing Artifacts to the Iratus experience.
  • Alchemy. Distillation restores the Vigor of all minions for parts, brains and/or minion items. In Calcination, the amount of restored mana is now constant; minion items and brains can be converted here too now. In Transmutation now the selected part can be made from any two parts. At the start of the game, you will get a common part, and then with the growth of the Iratus level and using parts of better quality, you'll increase the chance to get a part of uncommon quality and higher. All types of Alchemy are available from the start.
  • Spellpower. Affects spells Iratus uses in battle: increases damage, reduces cost, enhances effects. Every level Iratus gains one Spellpower and also can increase it with artifacts, talents and minions abilities.
  • Game difficulty. Each difficulty level has increasing complexity of the economy, changing cemetery building effects and Spellpower, tricky enemy battle formations, new boss abilities, etc. Parameters are displaying on the difficulty choosing menu.
  • Checkpoints. The optional Checkpoints on the difficulty levels “Cakewalk” and “More Pain!”. You can choose this option when creating the game. With it turned on, if you lose, you will be able to return to the first battle on the floor.
  • Blocks and Wards now prevent critical hits.
  • Cemetery. Now, when constructing the building, the minion is sacrificed to work in the building forever. Additional minions aren't needed anymore. Arena and Mortuary didn’t change in this.
  • Humonarium. Added descriptions of the enemy’s abilities to the Humonarium.
  • Iratus Stats. Added the window with Iratus statistics. The window located in the Artifacts tab.
  • Added the possibility to dismiss minions (there is no resources compensation).
  • Added new map events: Cultists, who gift Iratus with random Consumables or minion-specific items, and Soulspring, where you can collect the Diggers' Souls.
  • New filter «For the chosen minion» was added, which displays appropriate parts and trinkets.

Important: old saves (version 162 and earlier) will conflict with the new version. In order for you to finish the old save if you wish, we will transfer version 162.01 to a separate branch, which you can switch to in the launcher. More detailed instruction: https://iratus.org/instruction_tooold
We remind you that in all versions, the save will be automatically deleted after defeating the Pyromancer and moving to the next floor.
