New Demo Update
Hi!
[p][/p][p]Once again, you inspired us with your ton of advice to improve the game, and we love hearing from you. [/p][p]All the improvements end up in the final game, but we also want to offer it in the demo.[/p][p][/p][p]Here is a list of some of the improvements:[/p][p][/p]Beatable Tutorial Boss
[p]Previously, at the end of the tutorial, the player was faced with an impossible battle against an unbeatable goblin. After listening to player feedback, we spiced things up a bit. Now the battle is very difficult, but it can be beaten. We still had to end the run there, so if you want to know what happens next, create a new save file and replay the tutorial now! [/p][p]We also shortened up some dialogues to make the tutorial experience smoother for future players.[/p][p][/p]A new way to play cards
[p]Before this update, in order to play a card, players needed to drag it from their hand onto the battlefield.[/p][p]While this method will continue to work, we added the option to click a card, then click the battlefield. This, together with the new shortcut to discard/recycle cards with the right mouse button, removes the need to drag anything in the game: if you are one of those players who hate holding the button, we got you![/p][p][/p]Shortcuts and Tips
[p]We added many quality-of-life improvements, such as shortcuts, and improved pad navigation. Every addition is visible in the TIPS tab of the settings. [/p][p]We used that space to also give players some tips: in that tab, you'll find various hints that can help you in your Journey. Are you a veteran player? Did you already know all of them?[/p][p][/p]Enemies and Waves balancing
[p]We made small tweaks to how enemies are generated in waves to create a more diverse battle experience. We also tweaked a couple of numbers on enemies that seemed a little too unfair, especially with certain builds. [/p][p]While we want certain builds to be more effective against certain types of enemies, there should never be the chance that a proper build is unable to defeat a certain type of enemy. [/p][p][/p]Economy balancing
[p]We also changed a couple of item values to better represent their usefulness in battle. We want to have extremely powerful weapons that are worth a small fortune, but at the same time, we want players to be able to afford those weapons and try them on the battlefield![/p]
New Cards: Phoenix Rage and Iceberg Defense
[p]We decided to bring some cards to the demo that we had previously considered leaving for the full game. After intensive playtesting, we realized those cards were too fun to be left out of the demo, so we added them! Let us know if you find them in your adventures![/p]
Fixed Bugs
[p]With more time and experience on hand, we were able to find and remove some bugs, making the experience even smoother than before. [/p][p]However, if you encounter something strange, don't hesitate to let us know so that we can look into it![/p]Have fun, and please keep letting us know your feedback!
