Hi Spacefarers,
Thank you so much for your love and support of JLO so far!
This was our first time getting the game out and in front of new eyes – it's always daunting when people first get something you've created so painstakingly over years. We have received incredible amounts of feedback so far and anticipate a whole bunch more in the coming weeks. Before we get into it: thank you for taking the time to
write feedback, contribute bugs and test out the Demo! We're blown away by how passionate you all are.
We are a small team, so it takes a while for us to compile the feedback, but each contribution gives us a clearer understanding on the things that we should focus on for Early Access. In the mean time, we do have a hotfix for some of the easily-patched problems some folks are experiencing in the demo, and so…
We are pushing an update to your JLO Demo! Here are the fixes from the update:- Resolving a few frustrating bugs in the backend that were impacting performance here and there
- Fixing a softlock that occurs in the tutorial if you place multiple power switches
- For Gamepads: selecting the shuttle now opens up the shuttle actions tab instead of the manifest
- Some rubble was not being cleared properly in upgrade slots, we fixed this!
- Adding in spots of missing localization
+ Some audio fixes:
- The pause menu music may now be adjusted with the music setting
- Some VO without accessibility (subtitles) has been removed
- Resolving some newsfeed glitches
There are also problems we're aware of, but are gonna' take more than a hotfix to resolve:
- Crew getting caught/stuck in places (Venus Fly Trap of Love?)
- The AI confusing prioritizing in certain situations
We're going to work hard to resolve these bugs in time for Early Access, and appreciate your patience as we get to the bottom of them and any others you report.
Until then, thank you again, and we'll see you
tomorrow for the Game Design Q&A!Keeping your Hope Bars Full,
LoG
