1.1 Patch Notes - Balance changes and bug fixes

[p]We’re back with another balance update and some big bug fixes. Notably, we’ve fixed the issue causing the few players using an unsupported very narrow aspect ratio to be unable to access the settings. We’ve also fixed the slow loading of the Leaderboards.

We’ve added the ability to watch the replay of a battle immediately after it's finished, and made some improvements to the UI when you win a run and need to manage your tournament entries.[/p][p]
We’ve also added some new Discord functionality. From now on, every time a player wins a run without losing a life, or any time a player earns one of the more difficult Achievements, they’ll automatically be celebrated in the new #Konfronto-Achievements channel. Balance changes[/p][p]Our goal with each patch will be to address the lowest performers in terms of usage and results, and also take a look at any auto-buy items that are good in every situation. Choosing whether or not to buy an item should be an interesting decision, and (generally) items should not be viable in every situation.[/p][p]

Gill Riker[/p][p]This guy! He is always the best choice in the first few turns, and almost always a good choice mid and late game, whether or not you are running lots of fast ships. We’re making his early game a bit riskier, when your total Hull is low. He’s still great, but only the best choice for attack damage if you think the battle will last long enough for his ship to attack several times.[/p][p]

On Attack: Gain +15 Attack and deal 5 damage to your Carrier.

Grudgebearer
If it’s turn 1-3, you buy this without thinking, on sale or not, and generally don’t buy it past turn 5. We’re moving the attack buff to only trigger if the spaceship participated in a battle and lost, making it more viable at different stages of the game, and a better thematic fit to its name. [/p][p][/p][p]Old tooltip[/p][p]On Trader Enter: Permanently gain +5 Attack. Gain an additional +10 attack if you lost the battle.
New tooltip
On Trader Enter: Permanently gain +20 Attack if you lost the battle.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Hyperdrive[/p][p]When changing this from 4 tiles to 2 tiles, we accidentally made this so powerful it was possible to break the game with the right set up (thanks for finding this, ABU!) We’re removing the ability to compound cooldowns by giving Hyperdrive its own cooldown, and changing the way you reduce cooldowns overall.

[/p][p]Trashgrabber[/p][p]It’s good! We don’t mind it being as good as it is, but when combined with other Rare Space Junk Carrier Systems, it’s too good. We are increasing the rarity to both reflect its power and to decrease your ability to stack Space Junk carrier systems.[/p][p]

[/p][p]Pumpkin Spice Harvester[/p][p]We don’t take this, you don’t take this, let’s fix that. It was too situational, and you cannot predict if you will encounter that situation. We still want it to trigger from Humanitarian spaceships, but now it’ll be useful for all buffs, not just Dread. Will this make Sproutnik OP? Let’s find out.

Old tooltip[/p][p]When a spaceship of yours attacks: Remove 1 Dread from your carrier. If it was a Humanitarians Spaceship that attacked, remove 3 Dread instead.

[/p][p]Online Influencer[/p][p]Number of activation tiles increased from 2 4. This is technically a bug fix, as it was always intended to have 4, but as it doubles the amount of credits now available from it, we’re including it in this section.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Space Ball[/p][p]It’s massive and hard to use, so you tend not to use it. But you should! So we’re increasing its attack.

Attack: 350-375 → 400-425[/p][p]
[/p][p]Bracers of Blasting[/p][p]You have two Shields that are providing excellent defence, a Bracers of Defence adding +50% to each Shield and a Hex of Blasting appears in your shop. It fuses with your Bracers of Defence, but you don’t take it because you lose the +50% Shield buff. You should be excited that a possible rare fuse is available to you, so we’re no longer taking away the +50% Shield buff. We are going to diminish its ability to do direct damage to compensate.[/p][p]

[/p][p]Brocalypse[/p][p]Even when you have a build that is stacking Provisions or Power Surge at crazy rates, it still feels like Brocalypse is not doing enough damage. We want you to give vegetables the appropriate amount of respect they deserve.[/p][p][/p][p]Tooltip change[/p][p]On Attack: Deal damage to the enemy carrier equal to the number of Buffs on your carrier divided by 4 → 3[/p][p]
[/p][p]Quantum Entity[/p][p]You almost never take Crystalline Entity, even though it’s decent, and so you’re almost never playing its fusion, Quantum Entity. Maybe this will change your mind?

[/p][p]Massive Chonker[/p][p]It’s the coolest ship in the game! And yet, very few people take the big cat when it appears, probably because it’s so massive and you don’t have room. We want you to make room for Massive Chonker, on your ship and in your heart, so we’re increasing its attack.

  • [p]Aspect ratio now automatically constrains to 16:9 on screens with a narrower aspect ratio[/p]

  • [p]Brocalypse now uses the correct art on the leaderboard  [/p]
  • [p]Mung Bean the Merciless now updates its tooltip correctly[/p]
  • [p]Online Influencer now has 4 activation tiles (as originally intended)[/p]
