Malice & Greed June Update
- The Combat UI now has redesigned health bars and action crystals, including a text display for the amount of crystals you have.
- This is a first draft. Expect changes and improvements to visual clarity in the future.
- The Seek function has been added: Searches for known enemy weaknesses and automatically selects an appropriate skill if found (akin to Persona 5).
- The seek button will be dimmed out preemptively if no weakness is detected, saving you from having to manually check.
- You can now Flee from battle during the Protagonist's turn, at the cost of 1 unit.
- This can save you from otherwise lethal situations.
- A variety of minor adjustments have been made to skill & item balance, progression systems, and other gameplay factors to correct inconsistencies & errors.
- Incremental improvements to audio & graphics.
- These combat features are the final set of core combat mechanics to be added for the forseeable future, and updates moving forward will be focused on creating a new player experience to deal with the visual clutter and clunky UI, until the abrasive nature of the game is resolved.
- Now that these systems are finalized, a real tutorial is being worked on including a completely redesigned opening section of the game.
