Nine-Ball Roulette V1.0 is Fully Launched!

Hello everyone! The V1.0 version of Nine-Ball Roulette is officially released today!

Since the Early Access release of Nine-Ball Roulette earlier this year, many players have tried it and provided us with invaluable suggestions. We thank all our players for their experience and feedback!

This update is free for all players, and we will not increase the price of Nine-Ball Roulette during the initial launch period. We hope this is a version that you guys will love!

Below are our update details:

I. Eight-Ball Mode

After extensive testing and collecting numerous feedback feedback, we have finalized the rules for Eight-Ball Roulette! The overall difficulty is similar to 9 ball, and we've retained some randomness and rewards for a break-and-run.
  • In eight-ball mode, players battle 1v1 in an arena battle format; the loser is replaced down.
  • In eight-ball mode, a break-and-run will penalize all other players, but the player who completes the break-and-run will be replaced down.
  • Eight-ball mode employs a relatively free ball-splitting strategy; every ball is open to shoot after the breakshot.
  • In eight-ball mode, there is no need to call any ball or pocket throughout the game.
Hurry up and rush into the pool room to experience it!

II. Item Race (Okay, okay, you want to play like this?)

(We bought a bunch of chalk for our billiard room, but it seems nobody knows how to use it…)
Now, you can throw a piece of chalk from the left emote. Don't worry, the item won't affect the ball's trajectory, as it will always dodge the ball's position. But items can be used to distract other players.
  • You can use the "-noping" command to disable all players' throws.
  • Occasionally, some other items will be thrown…

III. Costume System

Now you can customize your character's appearance, and these appearances will change according to your character's color. Go and put on new hats with your friends and play the game!
  • Some of these appearances need to be unlocked by completing Challenge Mode.
  • We've also prepared a special hat for all players who purchased in EA stage!

IV. Challenge Mode

Many players have reported needing a more challenging mode to hone their skills. Well, here comes Challenge Mode!
  • In the current version, we've designed 10 levels. Completing Level 6 and Level 10 will unlock two special appearances.
  • Our rules are relatively lenient. You simply need to clear the table from smallest to largest, just like playing nine-ball. Of course, you can also challenge yourself with more difficult gameplay, such as not touching any other balls, or the cue ball not taking any cushions.
  • We will update with more levels or open custom challenges in the future.

V. Eye of Heaven, Open!

Now, at any point in the game, you can use the Tab button (or the up button on the D-Pad for gamepad players) to switch to an above-the-table view. This will help you better observe certain balls.

VI. Added FOV Zoom Function

Now, in the game, you can zoom in and out of the FOV by using Alt + mouse wheel (or the left and right buttons on the D-Pad for gamepad players), allowing you to better observe the table from a distance or use special angles to observe the shot trajectory.

VII. Other Updates

[*]Optimized the billiard ball spin animation for more accurate animation during high/low shots with less force.
[*]Reduced mouse wheel sensitivity to aid in precise aiming.
[*]Optimized the log file structure, reducing warning triggers significantly, resulting in a much smaller log file size.
[*]Optimized in-game physics; table friction is now lower, causing balls to travel a greater distance.
[*]Added a set of balls to the pool rack in the room.
[*]Optimized shot detection timing to avoid conflicts with the displayed ball.
[*]Added lobby's players limit selection functionality.
[*]Two acknowledgment notices have been posted in the game rooms.
[*]Updated the interior murals.
[*]Updated the background music on the game landing page.
[*]Updated the client icon.
[*]Optimized network module, fixed a bug where players are stuck in "connecting" screen.

VIII. Final Words

Thank you to all the players who participated in our game during the Early Access phase and gave us valuable suggestions. Version 1.0 is not our final goal; we will continue to optimize Nine-Ball Roulette to make it the best billiards game!
